My daughter's is Secondary 4 this year, her result dropped from Secondary 1's rank 1x out of 160 to last year's rank 6x (Band 1 school but not the toppest). The result is still dropping this term. We are considering whether we should send her to overseas next year, i.e. Secondary 5, or waiting for University level, any recommendation ?

As far as you know, what are the reasons for the drop? And does she have a particular discipline that she wants to study at university? It seems 6x is still okay if the target is to secure a seat at a local university so long as it is not a hot programme.

She is willing to spend time on desk but she cannot digest the content. Last year's final exam, I needed to do exercise together with her then the result could be kept without further drop. Another issue is "slow", she does everything in slow motion even eating, bathing, ... One more issue is that she doesn't like reading newspaper & TV news, how to handle Liberal Studies ? Believed that 6x may not be good enough for entrance of local U, assume her result will be further dropped.

If then, it does not help if you send her overseas... she needs to be more independent and organised if she studies overseas on her own.
