阿仔將會面試，唸住著西装打呔，會唔會好誇？大学並無指定要穿甚麽，大家有意見，謝謝！

我兒今年的兩次面試，前後後個個都西裝打呔，無一個唔係。不用擔心另類吧。

I guess put on suit with tie is appropriate and will not be over or under dress no matter with faculty you are going to have interview.

如果social science，男仔:恤衫、斜褲+(唔係波鞋); 女仔(唔好著背心、短裙)端莊就可以

我自己有in social science某一科o既JUPAS o既學生，我真係唔expect佢著suit，如果佢著真係over o左。

當然佢著我唔會扣佢分，因為我主要係睇group discussion o既表現。

終於决定穿西裝打呔，隆重其事無壞，阿仔話昨天面試啲男仔全部都係西装打呔。

Initially, he opts for smart causal in HK, after two interviews, he prefers formal to play safe.

Really? It surprises me. Time really has changed. In my old days, even if I had interview with faculty of architecture, I put on suit.

我個睇法係，所in o既department，學生將來畢業之後工作要求係著咩服飾，大概interview時都著咁上吓!

你想當年o既決定係正確

I was accepted and am in the industry now. Most of the professionals dose not need to put on suit actually . Yet, suit with tie in general represents respect.

I was teaching in the University some years ago. I will not consider suit with tie is over dress for an interview. However, I might nor mark one down without suit.

Thanks for your sharing from other side of the table.
My son understand the proper dressing in this occasion and not debate with us any more.
