Lingnan is suitable for boys. The school adopts both activity based approach and traditional approach to the teaching of the lower grades. In the upper grades, as told, on top of traditional teaching, the school encourages inquiry learning. Students will do experiments and other sorts of activities to acquire knowledge. Generally speaking, boys' learning interest can be aroused more easily in this kind of environment.

97%學生派到頭三志願！ - this may not be a good indicator. what matters most is band1% or allocated to Eng school%. But I believe Tak Nga's result should be quite good.

Lingnan had its first secondary school allocation result in 2012. The first year result is usually not too outstanding since the banding % is set by the government, not based on the actual performance of the students. I've read a number of comments and found that the result was regarded as quite OK. As a parent, I of course hope that going forward the result can get better and better, and I believe this is a reasonable expectation too, based on the quality of the teaching team and the curriculum.

德雅係97%上英中，因為德雅中學係英中，而大部份女仔都可上返德中，除非band 1 生另選其他英中

"10所收生成績未全面達標的英中，下學年需以中文教授主要學科 (stated in an article dated Dec 2009)" Tak Nga is one of them. I just found this info on the web. Also, this secondary school was classified as Band 2.

德雅就算係英中, 都只係 band 2.
嶺小上年才第一屆小六, 按規距三個 banding 的分佈就係平除, 但上年的升中結果, 4x% 升 band 1 學校, 以第一屆來說, 係好好的表現了. 我記得 ek 有人講過, 嶺小上年的結果, 相比 tsl 第一屆升中結果還要好添喎.
有第一屆 pre s1 後, 嶺小的 banding 分佈會有所不同, 有機會未來的升中結果會一年好過一年.

個人而言, 我自己鍾情及認識嶺小多點,由於是小班, 老師關顧小朋友的力度會大一點,只要小朋友願意,便可以獲培訓, 代校參加校外比賽,不是最好的,也可以去多見世面,這對自信心的培訓,以及眼界的開闊, 幫助很大.我自覺對不及女孩主動的男孩子,較適合一點!

德雅！歷史悠久，口碑好！ - yes, Tak Nga should be a good school with 好口碑. 歷史悠久 however does not necessarily mean that the school is suitable for everyone. It is reasonable that if parents would prefer traditional approach and the linkage with a secondary school (even if it is a band 2 school), they should prefer Tak Nga to Lingnan.
