Since my daughter is a big girl in K1 this year (born 2008), I am thinking if she can apply to primary schools next year.

In general yes, check the exact age requirement of the schools interested. Note for gov and subsidized schools, can only apply through the allocation system once.

You may consider if she could catch up first. To me I think writing is hardest for them to catch up.

你係咪想出年照大抽獎，吳好就照讀K3，然後考私小\直資，但咁就無得抽獎，咁worst case係可能無書讀wor。

Would be tough for the girl unless she is psychologically and academically sound and well prepared.

Just want to give her some experience first. She has repeated K1 and is a very mature girl.

I don't think you should. It's too risky. Also, she has not acquired knowledge of K3, it will be difficult to keep up academically in P1.
