my kid starts learning trumpet at school. but when i ask him if i need to clean the trumpet, he donesn't know. does any one knows ? i guess the mouthpiece needs to be cleaned. can i use wet cloth ? any detergent needs ?

Mouthpiece - can rinse with water or add tiny bit of detergent to rinse it and leave it dry

Valve - if it is not smooth, swirl out a bit and add tiny bit of valve oil, then swirl back

Slide - if it is not smooth, wipe tiny bit of slide grease

if there are finger prints or dirt, use the cloth (the one that comes together with the trumpet) to wipe

inner part - no need to clean, just leave it dry before putting into the case
