no need to worry, my son's classmate could not enter SJS first , only got RC offer, but in Oct , SJS called her to enroll, finally, she is SJS student now.

RC上年約900人報名，校方給700幾人面試。今年有約700人報名，如果跟上年一樣推算的話，那麼很大機會可以in晒！

沒有，只說面試會安排於一月第二個星期，並會根據不同幼稚園分批面見。

Entry list means have interview without confirmed offer if pass the interview, but on the waiting list, it's very high chance to get the offer.

I am really sad today......I just checked my mail box and there had 2 letters inside which came from RC and BHS.......For BHS, bad news!WAITING! (My boy can speaks English only even he should be Cat.1).....For RC, have to wait for the further information from school for the arrangement of interview

I haven't received the letter, but last year, even mixed kids and American kids were rejected without interview.

Seems more difficult to get now, as a lot Cat 1 move from Southern side to Bel-Air to live, but they are biggest ESF primary school in HK side

We are on the same boat! I have received reject letters from KJS and RC saying my boy is on the waiting list. Well, that's within my expectation for KJS as my son only join ESF K2 this year, just a bit disappointed with RC.

I believed in terms of siblings and ESF kindys' kids started from K1, KJS was really over subscribed. For RC this year, unlike what they have mentioned in the information meeting, they are not interview most of the applicants like last year, of course they will offer to those who has priority and the rest, may be random pick by the computer.

The school will only screen the invited children not the occupations of the parents and the address.

Boxhill K2 已經有兩班，大部分會讀K3. 留意K3 只有下午班及不知道會否開兩班。如果想報Boxhill, 我想先查詢下較好!

聽朋友講，佢小朋友報Kowloon Junior，佢無interview offer，信中仲寫話由於總報名人數有成二千多人，不能全部給予面試，只能給一千零幾人面試.......請問有沒有人收到類似講法的信呢？

但以往esf不是如有面試機會，已經很大機會收嗎？何以會in成千人呢？咁咪好多人就算有得面試，及格都唔收囉？我記得佢哋好似只係會judge小朋友及唔及格(即係能否以英語溝通和以英語學習)，interview係無grading分喎，咁我估一定有好多人都及格啦，咪就算及格都好大機會唔收？有無人解答到呢？

我打去SJS, 佢地話佢地學校只in150，佢地有150個位，如有人fail,就會2月尾3月頭in 2nd round, 但我知好多外藉小朋友1st round都未有得見。應該在2nd round會有機會。

KJS 都唔會in一千個位。上年做法係有150個位，會寄150封 interview letter with guarantee，然後再寄多100封信係會offer interview but non guarantee. 餘下嘅係 on waiting list. 點會in一千個？

去年九間 ESF 小學Y1 所有的申請都只係二千幾個，但今年只是 KJS 的申請已經有二千多！？太嚇人了！

The letter mentioned ESF had received more than 2000 applications, not KJS received more than 2000 applications.

There's NO INDICATIONS on how many students the schools will be interviewing (guaranteed and entry list), the email only says the no. of applications they have received and the available places!
Does RC work differently from other ESF schools?

As far as I know, the ESF schools on HK Island (Bradbury, Glenealy, QBS, Peak and Kennedy) also issued "Year 1 entry list" interview letters. These are basically the letters offering interviews for a non-confirmed space.
