我相信有些不用2nd in 就會有offer, 因為1st interview 封信係咁寫:

2nd Interivew: In some cases before making our final decision, we may request an applicant to attend a 2nd interview.

actually after the first interview, we received the same note from the teacher, saying that everybody will receive final accept/reject later before 30 nov. at that time, i thot there will be no 2nd interview. so a bit surprised to have a 2nd interview email.

我自己睇封信既感覺係。。。marginal case需要re-assess先會有2nd IN.
無2nd IN即係己決定得定唔得。

What's your kid performance on that day? My boy did well during the assessment, playgroup teacher even said "he's perfect, no worry!".  I didn't receive 2nd interview notice.

But maybe you're right, they may only invite those potential candidates for 2nd interview.  My boy is small b (Dec-2010), Victoria would only give us a "waiting list" no matter how well he did.

My girl did so so, so I am not having too much hope. But at the same time, as all parents, having hopes that she may be lucky to be offered. In fact amongst the group, I think my girl and the other boy did pretty well at the interview compared to the rest. But of course there are some bias elements and also not sure what's the selection criterions are.

Just curious to know if anyone knows whether there will be offer from 1st interview without a 2nd interview....

hi agnes624, my daughter will have 2nd interview in HG too. i tried to find out what will be asked in the interview, but no one has answer at all. my friends told me that it's the first time for victoria to have 2nd interview, so no body has any idea about it, but i guess it's a meeting with the principal.

Why don't you guys try to call the school and ask for the format? As this is the first time to have 2nd interview, I think at least they will tell you whether it is one to one, group in, etc.

I've tried to search the info on Victoria's 2nd interview on web, but nothing was found. My friends and colleagues who have children studied/studying in Victoria never heard of it. No idea at all! Is it really the first time?

Same here, none of my friends heard about 2nd interview in Victoria. Anyway, maybe the competition is too keen, the principal needs a final screen of all shortlisted candidates before they finalize the results.

There were 2nd interviews last year. They only invited potential candidates whom they thought a second chance should be given. If they could decide in the first interview, then there would be no second interview. That's how it worked last year.
I also asked one of the campuses and learnt the arrangement would be the same for this year. Hope the information helps!

A friend went through a second interview last year and that's how I learnt about it. I was surprised too. However, I didn't ask how exactly it was carried out because my kids weren't applying in the same year. Though she got a second interview, she didn't get an offer finally.

hi audrey mama, ths for sharing. what reason to let you made the decision to leave in K1? Which kinder your daughter studing now? would you pls give us some advise or compare the ad/disadvantage between these two school?
