Still not sure the academic of RC is good?
Need to consider deeply. But the chance to get the offer is not really high. So it is not the time to make decision.

Asking parets a few questions and then parents will leave the room first. Afterwards the kids will stay for 10 mins more. Just ask some simple questions.

All my friends and some teachers in learning center said the academic of RC is good! The teachers are really teaching and let the kid has a good foundation.

Most attractive is over 7x% can enter their secondary school and it should be in band 1. I talked with one of the girls in RC second interview waiting room , her mandarin is excellent and very polite. I also ask the othe girl how long she can finish her homework at home, she said one hour but the girl with excellent mandarin said she will do the homework in the school , so half hour is OK for her. I asked her is the teacher good or not, she said only the reglious and the English subject teacher a little bit 嚴格, However, she said the teacher is good. Seems the boys and girls are very polite there.

RC got a secondary school back up....
don't have to go thru the same thing like now after 6 years....at least less pressure

For 聖彼得, unless you can guarantee your son will be the top 30-40%...or else it's really difficult to get into band 1 school under the allocation scheme

Actually my son got an offer from both RC and St. Peter years ago. We gave up St. Peter finally. It's definitely right choice without any regrets! We like RC very much!

始終私校資源好好多. 如果官/津(超名官/津除外), 一定要入精英班, 否則好難入band 1

各人有唔同喜好，有人會追求更好的，我仔去年有個同班女同學就走咗去女拔讀，我仔本身名列前茅，大可考其他學校，我問佢想不想試下考其他學校？佢話佢好鐘意高主教，又有好多朋友，去到中學都想繼續讀，我覺得佢鍾意我就開心了。

當初我仔嗰班好多同學仔派咗去st Peter,當時一心一時都諗住讀st Peter ，但當佢自己去完個校舍，相比下，佢自己選擇了RC!

From my understanding, there were only six boys from RC accepted by ST Paul.

Is St. Paul Boys better than RC??? i can only say SPB is more well known, but i think the academic level is better in RC. Can anyone share more on this?

呢個時刻, 不需要諗讀不讀RC的中學, 因六年內的變化有誰知道。只要知道如果成績中等, 有一間BAND中至尾的學校收番你, 叻D可以更上一層樓。如果讀冇中學BACK UP 的小學, 成績中等有可能BAND ONE尾或BAND TWO頭，到時就不知如何是好了。一D比較保守又不想冒險的家長, 選一條龍或有直屬中學的小學心理壓力會冇咁大。我就係呢D擔心派, 所以有聯繫中學個D我都覺得驚, 我兩個小朋友都讀有直屬中學的學校，如果到時真係去到最底個D入唔番直屬, 只好嘆孩子的資質不在學術，勉強無幸福。

如果第日叻, 中學可去考DBS, CO EDU, 唔一定要選自己學校。我仔不是聰明那類, 無驚無險入番BAND 1B 中學讀我滿意了

中西區分析

中西區有9間官津學校, 唔係band1英中就係band3中中. 男校英中以英皇同聖若瑟較top, 上年聖若瑟14分有75.92%而英皇就67%. 高主教比聖類斯較好, 前者屬band1中(上年14分有61.45%), 後者屬band2頭(最後一次公佈14分有42.9%). 女校英中以英華同聖士提反較top, 聖士提反上年14分有79.1%, 而英華就冇資料. 但係英華係中西區女生首選, 相信命運同英皇差不多, 會考14分估計都係6x%, 聖嘉勒屬band1尾.

第一階段中六收生, 聖嘉勒中五約157人, 中六有84個位, 結果有5個位剩, 即是有79人夠14分(如果全部原校升讀), 佔50.32%. 而英皇中五約192人, 中六有120個位, 結果有20個位剩, 如果全部人原校升讀, 就有100人夠14分, 佔52.08%. 但係我相信有唔少英皇仔走咗去第二間讀. 整體14分既比例應該同上年差唔多, 都係6x%咁上下. 不過我地唔可以只睇14分既比例, 優良數目都好重要.

Band3中中有2間, 聖士提反堂同梁銶琚. 如果以所剩學位推算. 聖士提反堂14分佔13.13%而梁銶琚佔15%. 兩者似乎唔係差好遠, 但梁銶琚比聖士提反堂早收夠人, 相比之下梁銶琚比聖士提反堂好少少. 如果以我標準去評估, 呢兩間屬band3中.

中西區仲有兩間抽獎直資, 即係聖保羅書院同香港聖瑪加利女書院. 如果根餘額推算, 前者有13個位剩, 14分就佔46.39%, 不過睇番上年佢既學校報告, 有94.4%既中六位係原校升讀, 即大約58%, 所以佢係差過高主教, 但係都好過聖類斯好多. 至於聖瑪加利, 就有20個位剩, 14分推算係25%, 屬band2尾. 當然選學校(尤其是band2尾至band3), 校風都好緊要, 要自己去實地理解, 呢o的工夫唔慳得.

歸納上面既分析, 下面就係中西區學校既排位.

band1頭
聖士提反女子中學 (上年6科14分佔79.1%)
聖若瑟英文書院 (上年6科14分佔75.92%)

band1中
英皇書院 (上年6科14分佔67%)
英華女學校
高主教書院 (上年6科14分佔61.45%)

band1尾
聖保羅書院 (推算上年6科14分約佔58%, 今年46.39%)
聖嘉勒女書院 (推算今年6科14分佔50.32%)

band2頭
聖類斯中學 (最後一次公佈6科14分佔42.9%)

band2尾
香港聖瑪加利女書院 (推算今年6科14分佔25%)

band3中
樂善堂梁銶琚書院 (推算今年6科14分佔15%)
聖士提反堂中學 (推算今年6科14分佔13.13%)

好多謝你,好詳細的分析,交表時見到聖彼得的小朋友,佢哋好乖我同我打招咪,但高主教的小朋友打招呼時表現自然好多,同埋佢哋真的好乖,今時今日有咁O既品得真係值得讚,亦係我轉軚好鍾意呢間學校的主要原因,聽埋你哋講,真係有中學穩陣好多

Yes, it's difficult to act as parents in HK nowadays! Just believe your kid is good and he/she will be on right way! Add oil!

I believe he is good. I mean he is not outstanding but he is a super sweet boy. He always behave good and nice to other people. That's enough for me. So I am not that type who must go for best school. Of course i would try to give him what i could.

最重要學校辦得好, band 1B學校也可以有Band 1A頭學生. 跟住, 學校又會升band.
