They have Kindergarten (K1) and Reception (K2), no K3 - they will be promoted to Primary 1 at the age of 5 (British system).

As for the interview, Mrs Wyatt would do the story telling (I guess expecting kids to have some responses), and 2 class teachers would conduct the interview in groups - playing different toys, asking them simple questions (question as simple as "where's daddy and mami?"). During the 'interview', parents were not allowed to stay with kids, and Mrs Wyatt would come and ask simple questions to the parents, e.g. what language will you used at home? From my experience, there was no pass or fail, only that they just picked 3 out of 6 in one session, if any of the first 3 turned down the offer, it would go to the 4th one and go on.

In my opinion, interviews conducted earlier are more difficult in the sense that those who granted with an offer won't normally turn down so leave fewer chance for the 'waiting'. Anyway, just my view only.

May i ask if you child is now studying at KCIS?
My child is born in nov (small b).  So i'm not sure if she can really handle the interview (this is her first IB school interview) as well.

Would you also suggest to go in with both parents or just mami / daddy alone?

我女個時INTERVIEW係爸爸帶佢去的
佢個時唔係好識英文
同老師講廣東話, 但都收左
仲轉到AM

有家長IN完, 話係只IN小朋友, 但我老公去, 就話老師都有問佢幾句, 不過佢英文唔好, 答YES/NO.....哈哈
機本上, 有得IN, 好大機會都收
(個時我女係後備既後備)
