一個箱有蜘蛛和蟻共21隻,共有150隻腳,有多少蜘蛛和蟻?是12隻蜘蛛和9隻蟻,點容易解釋給小朋友,thx

Explain that spider has 2 more feet compared to ant. Counting the first 6 feet of spider and all 6 feet of ant, the number is 6 x 21 = 126. The reminder 24 feet (150 - 126) should be the extra 2 feet belonging to the spider. The number of spider is 24/2 = 12 Number.

Is this simple enough?

thx 先,答案一樣是8隻腳是蜘蛛,21x8=168,168-150少了18隻腳,18除2=9是螞蟻,但小朋友好似唔明白..

To teach Maths, you need to ask the kids to visualize the problem.

Try this:

Spider has (6 + 2) feet
Ant has 6 feet

設蜘蛛數量是 (y), 因總數是21, 故螞蟻數量是 (21-y)
按常理, 蜘蛛有腳8隻, y隻蜘蛛有腳 8*y隻
按常理, 螞蟻有腳6隻, (21-y)隻螞蟻有腳 6*(21-y)隻
腳總數是150隻, 故列式為:
8y+6(21-y)=150
~8y+(6*21)-6y=150
~2y+126=150
~2y=24
~y=12

所以蜘蛛數量是12隻, 螞蟻數量是21-12=9隻.
