I guess many parents are curious about what happened during their children's 1st interview. I could not get much information from my child. The last thing they do is watching a cartoon and then leave. I guess this is why every child comes out with happy face and could not tell you what was happened in their interview.

I saw most of interviewees are boys and most of them wore formal shirts and long pants. My child wore T-shirt and shorts!!! my godness, will the school judge my child by his clothes? so sad...

I also noticed that many of the interviewees wear glasses. 5-year-old children!!! if my child have to compensate his healthy to get a place in this school, i prefer no!

Don't worry! Most kids that were admitted wore T-shirt and shorts without glasses during the time of interview.

thanks a lot. The kids admitted are not the kids in this year. I believe arround 3-4 thousand children compete for the 120 chairs. It's too popular!

To me, there are ~3 thosands of children competing for less than 50 seats.

Can you child tell you what did they do during the interview? My son was exciting about the last cartoon, so he just give me little information. I totally no idea any chance for him. He only can remember one question: what should you do if you see fire at home?

Writing Chinese name, ask some questions, play games and watch video. I am from the 4th group, no relationship and no religion, so only 45 seats for 3 thousand.

we are not related to this school either. I think the 3000+ applicants also include these families related to the school. assuming 1/3 are related and 2/3 are not, then we are competing with 2000 applicants. silimar to 港大同學會小學。My kid has a very difficult chinese name. In other interview, also asking to write down their names, and the teacher told my son it's ok only with his surname...does that mean failed?

We have been practising Chinese name for more than 2 months to get prepared for it. Parents said if the kid is not interviewed by the principal, the chance will be low, just like me, but I am not sure about Chinese name writing. Personally, I think it is only one of the test and should not be very critical.

我女都有考此校, 我女是因為遠視加散光所以帶眼鏡的.
想跟大家解釋一下, 要帶眼鏡是有幾個可能的:
1.近視
2.遠視
3.弱視
4.散光....等
出現在幼童身上, 多是遺傳或與生俱來的.特別是遠視和弱視.

我個女都有先天散光, 但帶左眼鏡半年後都追番佢啲vision 醫生話如果佢ok唔帶眼鏡,係可以唔帶了!

She was not interviewed by the principal and I had shown her the photo on the school prospectus.

My elder girl is also long sighted but the doctor say it is not a must to wear glasses as it is not very serious.

我女其中一隻眼好深遠視, 視光師怕佢會倚賴隻好眼, 令深遠視果隻成為lazy 眼, 所以一定要佢配戴眼鏡, 每日更要定時掩蓋隻好眼, 俾隻深遠視眼多工作.

我個女都經過遮眼呢個階段，但係你咪睇佢好似好PRIMITIVE，原來好有效！
佢一日遮2－3個鐘，3個禮拜後都追番好多，6個星期平衝番了！

My daughter again told me the detail of the interview.
Normal questions for one-to-one but some are identical I think, if any parents want to share the details please PM^^

I showed my son the photo of the principal in computer and asked if he knew who she was. He said she's the auntie who talked to him alone in a small room with an L shaped desk in Coed.
She asked him what if we don't buy him the toys he wanted. After that she asked her some questions about logic...
