My girl joined a stimulation class when she was 4 months. Both parents can attend together with the baby, very funny and we enjoyed very much.
The time we attended before was in Wan Chai but now moved to Tin Wan (near Aberdeen), not sure if it is too far away for you.

個人經驗，我覺得一歲之下上playgroup無特別成效，同埋真系太細，唔適合上

I think the playgroup for 6 months or above is more effective as baby can sit and react to what's been taught. My baby join playgroup at six months old. So far I am satisfy for that. But I don't suggest going to those playing flash card . Going to those train the motor skills, social skill by sharing with peers. Parents might get an idea of how to interact with baby at home. But mine one is expensive and need payment for a semester of six months in one go.

我知道幼潛而家最細收4mth既bb~

bb太細我唔鼓勵上語言既pg。如果家中都無人講開英文既，每星期上一小時英文又可以學到咩呢？
如果要上既我覺得搵的訓練bb既大、小肌肉為佢地將來學轉身、爬…作準備好過~

My son started playgroup at 2.5 months and it is located in Wan Chai area (near PP3). I never thought about or read much about early (0-6 mo) childhood education before but certainly learned A LOTduring these playgroup lessons. If u live near wan chai area, would recommend that u do their trial class (at a small fee) and experience for yourself; or you can always just visit although I think u won't be impressed since it's just a small place with one classroom - the upside is your son will get very individual attention.

Hi lui, agree with your statements about playgroups. just wonder when you noticed your son is ready or able to learn about social skills and sharing with peers? The playgroup that I am going to advise me that peer interaction or observation starts 12 mos or later...and true interation at around 18 mos.
And wonder if you can pm me that name of your playgroup if on HK island. Many thanks!

Baby interactS with each other as soon as they are six months. That might not necessarily be "Play" or "talk" with each other. It can be in the way of showing interest to others like touching, crawling or walking towards each other. At playgroup, they learn how to share and exchange toys even as little as six months old. I will pm you the centre i am going. actually i have reveiwed the centre before i gave birth and pay the full amount when my baby was 3 months old. Wait until 6 months old.

Got your pm- thanks a bunch! In your context of "showing interest" to other babies, toddlers, and kids, I have to agree that I can see that as well.
