Yes, it is possible but you need to act fast. Most of the schools do not accept student to Year 10 or 11 as some students will take part of GCSE exams in Year 10. In addition, you need to have British or EU passport in order to apply State schools in the UK. You can apply through the local education authority. You need a local address. The school usually requests the candidate to take the entrance test. Hope this helps.

there are quiet a few good state boarding schools, actually, so if you're interested in sending your child, I recommend you to do so. the fees are Much cheaper as well.

Hockerill Anglo European College （IB 學校）, Colchester Royal Grammar School, Cranbrook School etc.

Dallam School 雖然以前成績吾係特別好，但係宜家進步得好快。

你最好可以上http://www.sbsa.org.uk/find_school.php 睇睇，上面有晒所有state boarding schools。你最好就查查學校的Ofsted Report （英國既評核）: http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/inspect ... d-inspection-report，就可以知道個間學校係點。
