當年朋友的女兒沒有甚麼獎，被安排星期六，她的同學比她遲一星期交表，但有若干獎⋯冠亞軍那類，卻被安排星期五，那天亦有很多CCKG 一起in, 結果那同學就有機second in, 所以那幾張additional info, 誰說不重要，

朋友陪同女兒入去in, 她感覺學校似做show...

Don't worry, the timeslot for your daughter's interview has more to do with the timing of receipt of your application by the school, rather than her chance of getting in. Good luck!

As far as I know, those with special background on sister link, old girl record and same religion will be interviewed first. Does it the same case this year?

May I know how many applications received this year? Is there anyone whose application / meeting number is 4XXX? 5XXX?

I think u guys are thinking too much! Let's focus on the interview la!! I know we all having so much pressure from this game, but speculation won't do any help! I have no connection at all and my daughter is not coming from a famous kinder but I was put interview on the 5th as well!

I was trying to say in my previous post that it is not related at all.
We all know interview date + time from DGJS is random based on previous, though limited experience.
There is never good flow of info from this school on EK platform, so everyone tends to speculate much about interview arrangement.

All parents, don't be too sensitive on the chance or rationale behind different interview dates or time slots. From my last year experience and finding, it was completely randomized.

There were 2460 candidates fighting for 140 seats last year. We had to attend the English assessment test in Jun after offer acceptance and this test could shed some lights on this interesting topics :-

Application no 1 to 530 =>the 1st 35 girls got the offer
Application no 531 to 1110=>the 2nd 35 girls got the offer
Application no 1111 to 1675 =>the 3rd 35 girls got the offer
Application no 1676 to 2460 =>the 4th 35 girls got the offer

General speaking, I didn't see there was an increased chance of getting in DGJS if you were interviewed on the 1st day.

Last year, DGJS assigned each time slot an alphabet.(i.e. Session A for 8:20, Session B for 8:40...etc) Each session was further divided into 3 groups A1, A2 & A3. Each group had 10 candidiates with acsending application no. (i.e. A1 - Application no 1-10, A2 - Application no 11-20, B1 - Application 31-40.... etc)

Hi TYYC - Really thanks for your info! I am a bit curious how you analysed the distribution of application nos. of the offers last year and your insights. It seems to me that they spreaded the candidates evenly based on the application info submitted and after the interview they selected the better or the top candidates of each "group".

I didn't further analyze the offer distribution. My gut feeling tells me DGJS just picks the "right" girls from the pool and so she does. This may explain why the offers were scattered quite evenly.

Sometimes, we parents are too skeptical and take unnecessary pains.

Wish your girl could get a direct in.

Hi BBCoffee,

No one dares to share interview context nowadays in this platform, or you will get stoning from lots of irritated parents.

It's a pity in EK that genuine information exchange is repeatedly and maliciously tested by a group of cynical people.

You'd be better to check the related threads initiated last year and I believe they are still here.

I think it makes sense for the school to group students together based on their criteria - and I think they need to too!
think about if the entire 10 girls are all from CCKG, then should the school take the whole group?
I'd personally admire the school if it took time to group students into different sessions, as this makes a fairer game afterall.

The english assessment test that TYYC was referring to was a test given in June to the girls already admitted to P.1 just before summer holiday started. Purpose was to gauge the different english levels of the P.1 girls so that the 140 girls can be more evenly distributed between the four P.1 classes in terms of english proficiency.
