Hi thomasha, how are these on-line readings different from buying exercise books on reading comprehension? One of the benefits that I can think of is the large quantity. Thanks for your comment.

Hi thomasha, how are these on-line readings different from buying exercise boo ...
In my humble opinion, there are a wider variety of exercise books available in the market that you can choose from. In terms of reading comprehension only, i-Learner (English) for P1 is rather easy compared to YW's curriculum, whereas 階梯閱讀 is about the same level as YW's Chinese curriculum. Of course, the online comprehension exercises can only offer mulitple choices, whereas exercise books may require students to write the words, which online platforms cannot offer, and this is in some way important to a certain extent. However, for P1, getting the kids to grab an understandinig of a passage and answering questions thereof is probably more important than copying words they don't know from the text, though it is unavoidable in real exams.
