一般如St Cat, Victoria, York都ok。不過，如果你報英普班，就有d風險。

因為報名人太多，學校有時會安排普通話老師幫手in，我個小朋友in九龍塘樂基就係咁，個老師d accent好重，問問題又詞不達意，大人聽都要估估吓。

如果係咁嘅情況，建議你揀選幼稚園時要留意埋教學語言，因為香港小一課程和面試大部分都著重廣東話!

提下你，唔識廣東話真係好唔掂，我阿女之前in PN 時都係唔識，啲老師一知道佢唔識聽個樣黑晒，所以佢in K1之前，我用左半年時間教，起碼識聽得明啲指令，而家要專攻形狀、顏色、動物、眼耳口鼻，佢地唔會confuse 架，而家大把人英文好，你去in 啲名校又太多人爭，一定要報啲普通嘅打底，一星期上一、兩堂playgroup 係冇用，你要每日抽時間同佢講先有用。

If I were you, I will take a longer leave from company and talk to your child in Cantonese everyday. They will not confused as they can absorb very quickly. If your child only knows English, it will hinder your choice of kindergarten. Many famous kindergarten would not have interview so soon. Get us of these one or two months time.

今年情況真係唔知。我大仔兩年前都係咁識好少廣東話，當年只有kv有問題，sc, york，LH, victoria都無問題。甚至靈糧堂都夾住英文問佢。不過我仔識普通話所以sc同LH都收佢讀英普班。

Actually for K1 or PN interview, if your baby only speak english, that is no problem...

However, you have to pay attention to futher P1 interview... most of them are in Cantonese and / or PTH.

SC攞form 時已經要揀用英文定廣東話，考英普就一定要再in埋普通話，victoria就其實有三個老師分別用英粵普同小朋友講嘢，story time 就英文既，即係唔駛揀咩語言。LH我地去到先講，老師話報名時要講架啦。

I agreed what you said.
We had the experience to attend k1 Interview in past 2 years.
(This year my gal became the super big gal among the applicants).
We realized most of the kinders interviewed in Cantonese ( The schools are in favor that we feel)
unless you applied Eng/Pth section which required speaking in the proper language.
This applied to most of the hot Kinders.

I also think there is no advantage for the kids speak merely in English daily if you focus on the traditional Kinders cos most of them conduct the teaching in Cantonese mainly.

We got the black face whilst we had the interview on one of the girls traditional kinder at our 1st year interview. At that time my gal speak English more than Chinese. It seem we had the wrong approach.

LH can choose the language for interview. My two children could not speak Cantonese when they had the interview. Both of them had interview in English. We did not see any black face.

I did not mention LH that we got black face. I said a girls' kinder which was our experience.FYI, We did not attend interview at any of LH.

我朋友兩年前in lh(青衣), 她囡囡唔識聽中文, 但第一part的老師堅持用中文in她. 我囡囡前年係海帆in, in第一part時老師講明佢會用中文in. 如果要用英文, 可能要事先request或者睇下好唔好彩遇見肯用英文in的老師.

york我上年遇到兩個老師都係中國人, 所以用中文in.

如你自己是講 Cantonese, it is not necessary to buy cantonese tutoring material or flash cards, just speak cantonese to your kid. Since over 95% of our population speak cantonese, the kid will learn it anyway unless your target is to study in international schools.

放鬆點，就算要開始認中文字都唔需要 K1 未開始就認。

There should be many ways to do it.  Provide below two ways for your reference:

1.  Daddy and mommy speak different language to the child.  The key of this method is consistency, i.e. Daddy only speaks to child in one language, mommy only speaks to child in another language.  I use this method and my children have very good translation skill now.  This method can be quite painful for parents if they need to speak a non-native language.

2.  The English teacher said that the parents should have a small section with the child only to speak English.  During that section, the parent should create some sort of "symbol" to indicate that this is the English section.  Examples of "symbol" can be a funny T-shirt, a pair of funny eye glasses, a funny hat, etc.  So, whenever the parents put on the funny T-shirt, then the child knows that this is the English section and he/she is expected only to speak English.  After completion of the English section, the parents can put away the funny T-shirt and then everything can be back to normal (i.e. speak Cantonese).  The key of this method is persistency.  The kids may not know what is going on in the first few rounds, but the parents should continue demonstrating to the kids that they are expected only to speak English during this English section.  The frequency of this English section can be daily or several times a week.

樓主, 如果廣東話係你嘅mother tongue, 點解仲要買教材去教你小朋友廣東話呢? 無論學咩語言都好, 多聽多講先係學習各種語言嘅最好工具.

Wanabe: I found that my son is more concentrated and he will listen to what I say when we are doing something together like reading books, playing games, watching cartoons, etc. But, when I talk to him casually, especially when speaking Cantonese, he tends to ignore me.

我阿女兩歲前都係只識得好少廣東話（街街、打打），後來轉做FTM後主力教返廣東話，所以過程係又中又英的，佢明英文所以我先講英文再用廣東話講多次，所以我用左半年時間教，勉強可以應付K1 interview，同時佢亦有返緊PN，頭兩個月日日咸，因唔明廣東話，淨係成曰同個NET 玩。
而家3歲啦，見到外藉人仕講英文，同黃種人講中文，但你用英文問，佢就用英文答，不過真係用左一年時間呀。
