MCS(PS):
- 天主教。
- 津校。
- 免學費。
- 靠計分或抽獎派入。家姐讀緊，一定收個妹。
- 不是100%可升讀津貼中學 MCS(SS).
DGJS:
- 基督教聖公會。
- 私校。
- 2012-13學費 $51,000 一年。
- 靠portfolio + 面試考入。家姐讀緊，亦不一定收個妹。
- 100%可升讀直資中學 DGS。

Nowadays, all top schools are private/ direct-subsidized schools, such as DGJS/DBSPS/SPCCPS

一間要靠運，一間要有實力之餘仲要睇家底，如果你幾樣有齊，唔使唸DGS啦!

先要拿到offer，如果同時拿到兩間的offer時，才考慮讀哪一間。

MCS係抽獎入DGS經過面試揀過曬學生質素唔會參差，如果2間都收梗係讀DGS啦。

當然係瑪利諾，校舍已勝人一籌，功課少D，又免費，多餘錢去給個囡去學其他野！女拔就勁谷，學費貴，但唔代表你個女唔洗在出去補習。太多朋友D仔女讀名校，但都要俾一筆可觀的金錢去補習。唔係考中逰又以下的小孩子要去補習，連考頭幾位都要，因為好多名校的老師已假設家長有責任去跟進。

校舍一間古色古香，一間又新又好設備，很難說哪一間較好。
DGJS的功課量少，亦很少學生要補習。

我覺得LS vs DBS 分別冇 DGS vs MC 大, 因為DBS 是直資, 相對 DGS 我校感覺"平民"少少, 同 LS 好似不會差太遠....

My daughter got accepted by both DGJS and MCS, and we chose DGJS because of 2 reasons: (1) students are handpicked by DGJS principal while MCS has no idea what students it will get from the lottery system, and (2) DGJS is private school so one dragon through train so one less worry when she gets to secondary.
If purely homework then DGJS may actually have less compared to MCS, plus no need to go through intensive tutoring starting p.4 to prepare for p.5 and p.6 marks which will be used to decide whether can get into MCS secondary.

其實邊間名校唔壓力大，就算學校唔谷，家長自己都谷啦，家長之間成日比較，學生家長鬥叻，有幾多名校生，唔補習？唔上好多興趣班？
但係有直係中學，壓力已經很少，尤其是MCS. 考120名之內就上到，咁其他地區小學學生咪重慘，考唔到頭幾名，升名校機會就更微，重要加運氣。

讀任何一間，到最後都是考同一個公開試／海外升學。兩間學校的教育方針完全不同，如兩間都收，要選出那一間較適合自己女兒一點也不難。

My daughter also got the offer from both school, however, we choose MCS finally. It's because my daughter told me that she prefer to study in MCS than DGJS.
Lucky that we have no pressure about school free, but I believe that she will feel more happy and enjoy her school life if we support her decision!

Your girl is so smart that she gets both good offers. That will be a tough decision to give up either one.
May I know whether DGJS seat is released or not? I have been sending 5 letters asking for a vacancy. Hope that we have the luck.

I believe very few parents will reject a P.1 place at DGJS. It is a 12-year study plan that will probably affect the rest of your daughter's life. I think parents are in a much better position to have a more thoughtful consideration before making such a hard decision.

As stated in the PSP, DGS is the "Through-train Secondary School" of DGJS. Do you know what does it mean?

我識家姐係MCS，個妹係DGS，好明顯其實家姐係MCS，妺妺一定入到MCS ，不過妺妺考到DGS，就唔讀令願交學費，仲唔係DGS好D

I think DGS English standard is better. Since they are the 'selected' group, they must have a certain level of english standard + parents are very supportive too.
Standard of MCS is varies. But smart student is MCS could easily become top if the class. But in DGS it is hard
