我都正在苦惱中！她是讀band one 英中！皆因我女最後的考試成績是最差！影響了總平均分！但她於考試前已用了很多時間溫習！我好擔心她選的科會落空！老師叫同學可以改返已填的科目！生物和會計是她最喜愛的科目而又是很多人選的科目！她放了第一，但化學只開2班！第二是選管理和化學！會計只開一班！唉！都唔知轉唔轉好？但又唔想揀文料！唉！我又唔知她的排名！之前系排中間！想問問大家，應怎樣推算出她選咩科目才肯定入到呀！

妳的資料有不少未知數，家長們較難俾意見。

自己的觀察及意見，好多大學科目改為School base admission, 就算想讀商科，商科及會計，未必是必須，沒有修讀未必有大問題。

Long time no chat here, wish you and your kid doing well.

School Based Admission is new in HK, but pretty mature in us for decades. i look at it in a more negative perspective, even I talked to the Admission Manager of the Business School of HKUST last October.

I can understand the down side of the the system. Students need to fight for better streaming even after admission to the school. It is good for the U as they can hand pick their students not just relying on results from one exam but the performance over a wider range of must know knowledge in two years.

Looking from the bright side of the system, the lower tier students can have a second chance.

HKUST, without doubt, is the most "clever" and "Americanized" University in HK.
Thank you for your kind caring about my boy, he should be able to study his first choice group of subjects.

HKU and CUHK do not follow the same view, so they don't put hot programs like BBA-Law and Global Business into school base admission, only HKUST puts Global Business in SBA. They will miss some great kids in admission.
My son definitely put HKUST behind other two universities.
