我覺得早走早著。你只需放學在門口站15分鐘就夠，我覚得恐怖：拍拖比比㫮是，件學校著到時裝：，迷你裙，大眼仔，染頭髮，証明D家長、老師唔管，D學生重要囂張，似足我們以前的私學

Are we talking about AMERICAN International School? It's an AMERICAN school for god's sake. Last year when I was in Connecticut at Choate Rosemary's campus (picking up my girl from a summer writing workshop) I saw a school packed with students with heavy make up, mini skirts and so forth. So what? Anybody dares say Choate Rosemary Hall is no good? Stop being too local and judging everything with too local a standard.

Sometimes I really doubt why this forum is called INTERNATIONAL school forum. Where is the international perspective and open-mindedness? Here in this forum (probably in HK in general), examination results and university destinations are everything. So pathetic (boring and uninspiring too).

我識兩位朋友的仔女讀此校.
第一位是女女讀到小學四年級, 讀得開心, 家長說當年老師+同學+家長都唔錯, 因家長考慮到學費,轉出了LS, 之後又再轉名LS, 最後亞女升中是去了HY.
第二位是街坊,前幾年由美國搬來HK住的內地人, 個仔己是YEAR 10, 所以一來港自然就報呢間中學部, 最初同在美國的私校有比較, 家長對呢間很不滿, 覺得學校太鬆散,老師教野又唔多,D野淺. 但亞仔己熟左同學唔肯轉校, 之後亞仔同幾位同學FRIEND都升到美國唔錯的U. 家長又話睇返都覺得O.K.
好唔好又真係見仁見智!

多謝你嘅意見，聽你硬樣講我放心著小小，其實我都覺得好奇怪點解評價差，但我先生就相信間學校唔會差著係邊，係都叫我給阿囝讀入去先。佢就話乖唔乖係睇家長點教同睇小朋友自己，不過佢平時都唔阿囝讀D吔嘅，可能佢覺得美國學校唔晒煩係都收你，所以我都唔夠膽信佢，所以聽大家意見。

其實好睇你係邊類家長，和你有甚麼要求。
以上幾位家長講的野都其道理，不過如果你是比較傳統的香港人家庭，你又重視中文的話，AIS就吳係你杯茶。
我住果度有幾個白人和印巴裔的AIS學生，與香港LS和其他IS學生比，他們確是超短裙、行為較開放和較無禮貌，但在他們學校和美國老家，學生就是這樣，佢地吳係特別壞，相反佢地吳係咁反而吳正常，所以就睇你係邊種家長，想養育一個怎樣的小朋友。

你不用心大心細、放學時你睇下一條龍到第十班以上的，你如果頂得住，先講！

My son got an offer from AIS as well, for pre-reception (not sure if they called it that way) starting end of August this year. But we rejected the offer at last. Overall experience to AIS is not as impressive. We had our first interview with the school principal, she is an extremely nice person. We had a good chat with her and our boy seems to like the school. On our second interview with the classroom teacher though, we were being sent inside the classroom with lots of kids having a music (singing, instrument) class just right next to us. My boy nor I couldn't hear what the teacher said or whatsoever. Most ridiculous thing is that I can see another teacher or teaching assistant, sitting at the corner of the classroom having her lunch while the kids are having class?! We passed by the playground and there were a group of secondary school students I believe, having volleyball match. The teacher was just standing in the middle, without much of the passion, watching. Having said that, the kids that I came across with inside AIS, was polite and well-mannered. At least when the teacher asked them to show us the way to the administrative office, they offered a good helping hand.

謝謝！請問如果AIS和挪威國際學校比較你會選擇哪一家，因為現在挪威國際也通知收了我的小朋友、我問一些家長他們都說挪威好，但我兒子的家庭老師就強烈推薦AlS，其實我問過好多人都說AlS不好，我現在真的好煩，其實我想知道AlS具體哪裡不好、除了校風之外。謝謝！

AIS 算是用美國的制度教學，如果你曾居住美國，你就唔會覺得有問題，因為係美國的校園生活就是如此。只係 HK 人睇唔慣！
事實上，我妹妹之前回流返香港，都入了這校。我哋一家都覺得這校不錯，老師又細心又 nice! 又唔會成日叫家長捐$$。
By the way, 唔知佢哋有冇 PN 讀呢？

美國國際學校著重的是, 潛能發展
這是與其他學校不同的地方
他們教育小朋友德育方面很好
特別在政治發展, 學生應有的角色
所以他們見到不平時, 較為敢言
英文方面, 他們教得不錯
一些學生, 英文太好, 我問她為何轉校
她父母對我說, 女兒英文太好, 中文反宜不好
轉去了耀x學中文
學校嚴守校內說英文
亞洲人佔多, 但不少是回流的人
不少是日本人, 與韓國人, 但他們連日文與韓文都不懂
低form你預25人一班左右, grade 6, 與10 會較多插班生
中間多人走, 轉校

請問你係唔係小朋友係度讀嘅，多謝你同我講咗硬多，請問一班幾多個老師，一個星期有幾多堂中文課，學校嘅會考成績好唔好嘅、升上大學嘅比率係幾多啊，唔好意思好多問題。

如只看學生打扮和外表真的受不了，但當你知道他們入美國最top大學率，就會知道外表打扮跟成績不成正比！

my little one just left the school a month plus ago, I think I have the responsibility to write something here to warn other parents.
I might be right or wrong, I am just stating the facts here.
To start with, the class size is really small, just 5 to 6 kids, sometimes one or two kids are sick, so leaving only a few kids playing “on their own” in the classroom. I always delivered my baby myself and since I was always late (not a good thing), I got the chance to see what really happened in the classroom, almost 9 out of 10 occasions, the teacher was doing her own work (or not work?!) at her desk with her computer, igoring the kids, she simply didn’t spend the time with the kids. Sometimes I was late for 20 mins, sometimes I was late for more than 30 mins, all the same, once or twice, I saw her checking her money inside her wallet, while all other kids are playing toys on the floor with the teaching assistant alone, only playing toys, like what you will see when your helper brings your kid to clubhouse playroom.
There was no interaction between the kids, so they didn’t really talk to each other, my daughter was like putting on a halt somehow, became very quiet and bored. She was an active kids back in nursery school, what a change towards the worst!
My daughter went to the school for 2 months plus, she still doesn’t know the teacher’s name, (while I later switched her to a new school, she can tell me at least 2-3 teachers names after 2 days!)
My daughter learned no English in AIS as the teacher didn’t really spend time doing her work at all, with a class size of only 5 to 6 kids, I am very surprised my daughter has learned nothing at all from this reception class. I have to teach her English myself and I don’t have the best method to do it, but it seems they are far more worst than me…
The new principle for the elementary school is a wonderful lady, she really did listen and she tried to find ways to make it work too, she is a kind person. But I later realized there wasn’t much she would do about it…
As a teacher, u need to have certain level of commitment and passion, if one doesn’t have any, I wonder what other management people would do about it?
There is a little window in the classroom door which you can look inside the classroom and see what is going on inside, I can tell you they are very sensitive if someone is checking on them, the teacher always check on the door little window, I tried to check out on them while I delivered my daughter most of the time, she always would know, I wonder why.
During Sept, only a new beginning of the year, I remembered the teacher and her teaching assistant were absent for a few days already, I think there were 2 days or so, they had a secondary student as the replacement teacher or teaching assistant, I saw her sitting there with her school uniform and naive smile, I really didn’t know what to say.
These are the facts. Decide for yourself.

it was difficult, I liked the school so much when I went for interview with my girl, the principle is really nice and professional, with a big smile and really friendly, I was really happy back then, kept telling my daughter this is your new school every time when we passed by the school in the summer.
She is now with 英藝 which is quite good, she can write so many alphabets and some numbers now. She is very very happy there, kept telling me what happened in school everyday.

我都覺得AIS唔錯，我有三個朋友畢業於此校，一個去左美國讀U，一個去左澳洲，另一個喺城大讀，佢地都覺得學校ok, 我細佬由Y10-Y12 喺度讀，之後去左英國讀U，我覺得學校不過不失，老師唔差，校長好好，我有陪媽咪去細佬家長會有同老師校長傾計，我覺得唔錯，细佬同學有人入到唔錯既美國U，亦有人入 HKU,
注意:我細佬係幾年前畢業，而我d 朋友係約十年前畢業，我相信幾年間學校變化不大，同埋學校都唔係差，不過要睇下個個家長要求不同，我細佬Y7-Y9唔係喺香港讀書，佢讀AIS又唔覺得D老師好hea, 正正常常咁啦！

多謝咁多位嘅關心，其實我嘅小朋友已經係這間學校讀緊，佢讀得好開心，幾乎成間學校嘅學生佢都認識，老師好好、校長好nice，老師總是邀請我們去佢屋企開party就算是假期都會，我嘅仔同老師嘅感情好好，一見到老師就會抱住佢，我覺得呢個老師同我嘅仔之前嘅老師好唔同，我覺得佢真心愛班小朋友，我之所以咁耐都冇回應呢個帖係因為我都唔知間學校好唔好，但係依家讀咗咁耐，我可以肯定同大家講呢間學校好好，我都會俾細仔入去讀，我冇見過染頭髮，拍拖，等等D嘢，D大哥哥大姐姐對我嘅仔都好好好有禮貌。
