I think Final Assessment means nothing, even my son got all As from the mid-term assessment we didnt receive any news. The school would rather give chance to those outsiders , WHY ???

I asked so many times la, I think the teacher doesnt want to hear my voice ! Also I asked the Admin office, the school Master .... they said they dont know. I dont think there is hope & I wont dare to let my younger girl to take the risk.

hope you got some backup kinder for K1.
My kid previously studied in KM N1 and was put on waiting list to K1, despite our letters to the principal, still no news for K1 finally. I have asked the class teacher the reason for not accepting my kid to K1 but in vain. Maybe they wish to choose most brilliant children from outside and my kid is not their targeted ones.

I would like to know when they usually inform the offer from PN to K1? The last assessment is in mid june, then all kids will get the offer after the final assessment or before?

It seems some get offer earlier, some not..pls pls let me know.

And usually the % from PN to K1 is 70%....very worry...

I want to know what are the factors / reason not letting PN kids to K1 too ??? Nobody can tell me, they said only the principal knows. But I can barely believe that the principal will go to the classroom & see their performance regularly.
I think this year the percentage of going up to K1 is even less than 70% as I know many kids cannot get an offer.

Lucky I have back up offer, otherwise my son has no school for K1 in Sept.
It is just that I am too navie to believe the school will give prioity to existing PN kids as stated on the notice.

It is not the matter of AM or PM class nor small / Big B, as each class has some kids who are "OUT".
KM like those quiet kids, who dont talk much, so the teachers can control them better. No creative & talkative kids in KM.

我不是說收生標準，而是在校內的情況，我兩個仔都多口到暈，但又唔見得校方對他們有甚麼不喜歡的情況哦有一年的成績表老師comments 還說孩子confident in expressing his thoughts

小兒K2，佢嗰班有一個由N班已經出名曳嘅小朋友，會郁手打人架！
講多口，好多8妹仔會傾計，亦有小朋友問嘢，但上到K1會跟返足課堂上嘅紀律
我個仔用咗老師一個學期時間去學課堂紀律，最後學期尾攞咗個進步獎！可想而知初初有幾"活躍"！

咁都會有其他幼稚園提供pn直升k1的課程，先考，有offer才決定也不遲

係死得不明不白。冇人可以話比我知原因, 其實只係想知點解，但每個人都話只有校長先知，但又永遠搵唔到校長，去學校幾次都見唔都她。雖然我已決定小朋友去 KV 讀，我只係想知我的小朋友有什麼可以改進和原因，點解唔可以講清楚比我知？？對學校好失望，咁叫做學校？

昨天家長日見老師，有沒提出小孩有哪些地方要改善?如只想幫孩子改進，這些意見已相當足夠了，就算知道未獲取錄的原因，事實也改變不了，正如我大兒子考某小學，我也以為入硬，可惜被reject了，連waiting都沒有，到今天都不知"死因"，兩星期後另一所更適合孩子的學校取錄了他，哪我為什麼還要苦苦思考為什麼前者不收他?好好為孩子準備下一個階段不是更好嗎?kv是很多家長心儀的幼稚園，你孩子能被取錄，應該高興才是，到你考小學時回頭一看就會覺得今天的事微不足道。共勉之^_^

Thanks for your sharing. My kid case is a bit different, the primary sch your boy rejected by is a school he never study before, my case is my kid is studying PN now. Also the notice says priority is given to existing PN kids. My kid is on waiting list for St Cat, I never doubt or ask the school the reason, as it is open competition.

Sure I understand the primary competition will be more fierce, however I will know that that will be open competition.

I ask the teacher what my kid needs improvement on, she said he is good, just sometimes talkative n have his own thinking. Is it something wrong to have his own thinking n opinion? Do they just want a machine ? In terms of talkative, I think kids should have the choice to voice out, kids are human too, not just a machine for them to control

Same feeling with bb8608, I didn't see the principal yestersday at my time is before lunch hour. The class master said the way to improve, but it is confusing. I just said that they can reject or earlier to reply the parent next year. The waiting or the priority is confusing too. I am to naive to trust the school. Anyway, no chance to remind the same school and keep ahead for the next stage.

學校自然有佢鍾意/唔鍾意嘅小朋友類型
但唔等於小朋友有問題！正如小朋友鍾意傾計，佢無錯架！只係如果你放佢响要守課堂規矩嘅KG，大家辛苦，佢聽唔到書又騷擾到其他小朋友！
另，KV都係要乖乖守規矩嘅學校，家長如果對呢種上堂模式有不同意見，建議3思！但傳統教學嘅小學老師話：對上堂講嘢係零容忍！
所以家長請好好諗清楚自己要乜
(坦白講，由N班老師話小兒愛發問，K1老師好proud咁話用咗一個學期令小兒坐定定，學期尾好奇問老師：小朋友多發問嘛？
當答案係~好少，佢甚至唔會主動舉手答問題！我個心有d痛....)

okay, the school might not like a particular type of kids, however why would not they give their heart & honour to accept those kids? These are the kids who have study at the school for 1 year already, not just the just the kids they interview for a few minutes. Why dont they give the kids a chance to change & learn? The school just give up on these kids ! Why?? The point is there are so many existing kids have released their seat and the notice said existing kids have priority?

Be honest I didnt apply many schools, if he doesnt go for KV, my son has no school to go in Sept.
My kid is only 3 years old, I can see his improvement from 2 years old onwards. The school can forsee he will not improve in the future ma ?? Why they have to make the jugement at such an early stage ??

Your kid is studying PN in Keen Mind, right? When u have the offer from Keen Mind?

You have offer before the final assessment in 18 to 20 June 2012? Usually when is the earliest time they will offer existing PN student?

我係度聽到你的情況, 都覺得好唔抵, 如果我係你, 就算本身有無考到好學校, 都真的很想知校方不收回自己小朋友的原因. 我小朋友今年會讀KM N1, 聽到咁奇怪的情況, 我都一直好擔心, 即係今年又要再in 好多間學校做K1的back up了, 好累~~ 請問你的小朋友當年是正取生, 還是waiting入KM, 因擔心waiting入會更高機會被out

九月開學，11月已經會收到通告！通知收返定waiting!
所以你今年照報其他學校，假設11月收到信收返後就可以輕鬆D自行決定仲去唔去in

My boy was accepted in the first round. I dont think it makes any difference.
Just apply some KG as back up. If your kid is so unlcuky that got into waiting list, just think there is no chance to get a place for K1. Dont be so naive to believe the school with give priority for exisitng kids, who they have taught for 1 year. No sympathy from this school.
