今年校長只會和30%的申請人有個約會，而不是像去年面見所有申請人。

取表：網上下載便可，到校拿表的話，他們也是從網頁上下載列印出來，沒有特別印刷的版本

交表：前年交表時人不是太多，加上交表期較長，幾乎不用等，數分鐘便完成。

給你一些資料：

1. 每五人一組，每組十五分鐘

2. 孩子們出來時都是很開心的

What's the choice? Not applying? Even I don't choose DSS, and go for lucky draw, the torturing result could still be there..... For YW, they have 3 interview stages....still a long awaiting period. Nowadays, the competition for getting a place in Int'l School is keen, not easy at all. Competition games are everywhere.....Where's our comfort zone in HK?
The only thing that we could have control of is our expectation and inner self....

The choices I can think of are:
1. Apply for DSS, private schools or int'l schools that do not require you to wait so long
2. Don't care about which school your child goes to and just let lucky draw decide.

You are right in pointing out that our expectation and inner self (more particularly parents' desires) cause the torture. One of my relatives chooses to let fate decide the school and he is not worried about it at all. The government offers the lucky draw to all children in HK so that all of them are guaranteed a place in primary school - this is the satisfaction of basic needs. If anyone wants more than that and faces keen competition, it's completely his/her decision.

As discussed in EK many times, the current system has defects and no system seems to be flawless - every system has pros and cons. If you have any suggestion for a better system, please feel free to make it here or even to the Education Bureau.

I'm not making a point about the system. There're always problems with any kind of systems. Even in my days, there was competition already for getting into a good school. It's not merely the system that creates the competition and problems.................it's people, philosophically. Whether the choices you mentioned are really choices, depending on parents' expectations. Even when parents applying for the very top schools, it doesn't mean it's a torturing experience, again depending on expectations. No pain no gain, some would say, at least they give it a try and do the best.
