我兩個b 09年11月尾出世但其實早產三個月，真正預產期在10年2月頭，今年入york讀k1,所以是超細b. 其實讀k1是因為有人教repeat最好揀p1,而且pn無乜嘢教,所以讀k1好過. 但而家就快開學,兩個b自理能力仍很差, 老婆開始後悔. 驚k2成績不好而揀唔到好小學. 其實如果一早預咗repeat,咁究竟repeat 邊一年好呢? 有朋友話有d小學唔鍾意收repeat幼稚園學生. 好心煩

A kindergarten principal told me that it is good to repeat K2, as there is more to learn in K2. However, you have to know that it is difficult for you to find another kindergarten to repeat k2 as there are not many places. (I think it is better to repeat in another school.) Therefore, I think repeating K1 is better. Or you can simply let them start their PN one year later if you are a full-time mom. If you are a working mom, you can pick a kindergarten with a easier curriculum first. Then when they repeat k1, you can try the more famous ones or those with curriculum that is more difficult. Repeating K3 and P1 is not that good in my point of view, coz when they are in K3 or even P1, they have stronger feeling and self-esteem. If they are really not doing so well at school, their confidence will be damaged. And they may have bad feeling to repeat.

Oh sorry, I have overlooked your message. I didn't notice that they are already in K1 now. It is not easy to find another kindergarten to repeat K1 now, as the application process was completed already. Maybe you can talk to your class teacher to see if they can repeat K1 at York?

K2 啲嘢深好多，要寫好多字，要識填充、重組句子等。你考慮下啦。

第一,5建議repeat p1,對小朋友的自信或會有打gig(除非是轉一間好好多的).

如你現時已sure小朋友能力比其他同學弱,repeat k1.
.
如kg成績,發展都追到同年同學,可到k2才決定,但不要等到k3,到時仲煩.

york的課程應是深的,直上k2可能會辛苦,仲有repeat k1小學是不會知的(有些小學要救睇兩年report,有些只需最近一年),如你有這concern,應是repeat k1好d.

Repeat K1, 如果repeat K2, 未repeat 前，因為相對太深，已經失去自信心同學習興趣。

I have similar case as you. My girl born in late nov 08, 1mth earlier. She is now studying in victoria K1, will repeat k1 in sh coming school yr. I think it is quite a good choice to repeat k1rather than k2 or p1, as she doesn,t know she repeats and more kg to choose.

In fact my kids have been taking some pn-like playgroup (2 hours a day) since last Oct. IQ wise they are good but 自理能力 is bad.

Yes sounds repeat k1 is good choice. But if my kids' performance is not too bad, will school allow parent to choose repeat in their own will?

That depends. Usually they don't prefer, unless you tell them a year earlier, that is, before they accept applications for the next year. Usually small boys are weak at 大小肌肉, and personally I think it worths to repeat because of this. They will be more confident in writing and 體能 if they are big boys.

just talk w the class teacher and be persistent, also start looking for a back up in case ur current kg dont have any vacancy.

早產bb係比較慢架，所以我覺得repeat K1比較好，而k1都仲係教自理多啲，上到k2, 啲小朋友會叻啲，又識得取笑人，唔願意同比較細小嘅小朋友玩，會影響仔女心理。
如果一般細b，repeat k2 就著數啲，考多一次小學。

我仔是0911細B, 插班在YORK讀緊PN, YORK好多野學, 自理能力亦好, 岩晒我地要返工既媽媽, 在家冇時間教, 希望仔仔在校可以學多D, 現在他們每天都要做功課, 對兩歲人仔黎講, 算幾深.  他一開始就自己坐校車返/放學, 大個仔左獨立左, 返家仲成日好開心咁唱英文歌, 好多謝學校.

他已被學校取錄今年8月升K1國際班, 但我也打算今年再報其他學校的K1, 明年repeat K1.  原因不是仔仔跟不上進度, 比起大仔, 他的確唔夠佢地叻, 但比起同月齡的, 他出色很多.
選擇repeat K1是因為我想仔仔做一個有自信的人, 唔想佢由細到大都比大仔比下去, 我寧願他做大仔, 叻過其他同學仔.  同時亦因為考小一問題, 細仔的確蝕底很多, 年齡冀視是存在的, 我唔想因為仔仔是細仔而考不上好小學.
其實細仔都好著數, 因為細仔比大仔多一次選擇機會
