My son is joining anfield and pips pg now, he enjoys going to both schools very much! But anfield is more expensive. To me, I think both schools are good!

Yes anfield is really expensive!!
For pips how much is the 1-month debenture? Is the waiting q long? How long is the waiting time to get a seat for pg?

I cannot remember quite clear for the amount of debenture. We paid it last year, as far as I remember, it was $20,000 for personal debenture and $30,000 for corporate debenture. We waited for 4 months before we got the offer, but I heard the queue is a bit long now. How old is your child? for pips, the child can join the pg after 1 yr old and for anfield, the child can join after 1.5 yrs old. Hope this helps.

I do not understand the debenture. Is the debenture going to deduct from the tuition fee?

For PIPS, If you pay debenture the school will put you on priority (not compulsory). The amount of debenture for playgroup depends on which program you would pick. If you choose to attend 3 days a week, it costs about 4k and 2k for 2 days program (in fact the amount is equivalent to one month tuition fee). $20000 debenture is just for PN to K3 (trilingual stream).

I had joined both PIPS and Anfield playgroups. Actually both are good schools. Anfield is running like a real school life for the little ones, they have school uniform, school bag, school outing, parents day and evaluation report will be given at the end of the term.

The teachers in PIPS are very caring. My son loves the school so much and he learnt a lot in PIPS! The feedback from the parents to the schools are always positive.

I suggest 樓主 apply PIPS first as the list is quite long. Most probably you may need to wait more than half year. Then check with Anfield when will be the next admission as they hold quarterly program that mean they just accept application 4 times a year.

Hope this help.

Hihi, on the enrolment for Anfield playgroup, the current term is up to Dec 2012.  So does it mean I need to wait for for the school to launch the new term before I can apply?
作者: chwmama313    時間: 12-9-18 23:01

Yes, they accept application by term, so you will need to wait for the school to launch the application for the next term.

I applied Anfield when my daughter is 3 months old and now she is 9 months old. I paid $800. And I haven't heard any news from the school, shall I give them a call? Does anyone know approx how long it takes until they give you an offer? Thanks a lot!

Anyone pls correct me if I got it wrong.

From what I understand, the fee of HK$800 is for application of Anfield Nursery class (for 2 years old).  No application fee (only new student registration fees) is required for Toddlerobics and Playgroup.  Playgroup is for 18 months old and above, whereas Toddlerobics is for 1 to 2 years old, which is what you should be pursuing if you want your girl to attend now.

minirat: you are right. There is no application fee for Toddlerobics and Playgroup.

For Pre-K application at the Kowloon Tong campus, they would send you back a reply slip confirming receipt of your application. They will only confirm acceptance in Dec/Jan before the actual year of joining. Not sure about application to the Nursery class at Whampao campus, but I expect they would do the same.

tried pips class it's more casual than local clases and many native english speakers as classmate. depends what you are looking for.

My daughter joined Anfield toddlerobic before and I felt bad.  The teacher has no heart to teach.  45 mins class and half time of the class just was spent on queue up at the playground, let toddlers play toys themselves and let them freely walk around.  The teacher just sang songs with no rhythms, read short stories freely, no schematic program..  No specific excercise for toddlers to learn
