I picked pcps 9 years ago after I received offers from both kindergartens. My son is doing well n promoting to pcms without much hassle but lots of extra curricula to try out in school eg. Golf, martial art, drama n so on.
My young son had the exact situation while I picked kentville this time as I still stand a fair good chance to earn a place from pcps p1 since his brother was there already.
Fortunately he got a place from Dbspd this year n we are just cant wait to start school this sep
However, kentville is definitely the toughest kindergarten u can find in the city n I reckon it is too harsh for some kids. It's not a Mickey mouse kinder but rather like a pre-primary school to my understanding

Be honest, kentville's K3 teachers only drill n make lots of comparison within kids who admitted to various elite schools
Trained up the kids with weekly mental tests until the last week of K3(2012version)!
Off course it varies in classes for teacher 's attitude but they don't even bother to  organize any graduation ceremony with parental participation! It's definitely result oriented school rather than creating any good kindergarten memory
