想請問小一通常幾時開始申請? 邊個月份interview? 是否要交profilio? 什麼規格? 謝謝指教!

想請問小一通常幾時開始申請? P1 application will be annouced after final examination, i.e. after middle of June, it will be posted into website once finalized
邊個月份interview? Oct or Nov
是否要交profilio? 什麼規格? profilo ... no need, but some parents will attach it with the application form, free format
In fact, interview is much more important.

非常多謝你的回覆! 相信競爭一定激烈因學位不多又多人申請. 請問學生多是那一type呢? 小女看上去很斯文怕羞,不是outspoken主動那種. 喜歡學習. 不知學校喜歡選那一類學生? 另面試是什麼形式? 要英文面試嗎? 感謝賜教!

Two classes - each class around 23 ~ 25 kids, i.e. total 50 max.
Around 1100~1400 applicants each year for P1 admission from the past few years record.
Students type - relatively 斯文 but not 怕羞, peaceful, friendly and amiable, always smile but not aggressive type
女生大多數有D似多啦A夢裏的 "靜香" 個類。
每年都有幾個男生, 有D似 "出木杉", 又有D似 "大雄" , 但一定無 "小夫" 或 "胖虎" 類男生。

想問下面試時會考什麼呢? 聽過個家長講其他私小的面試, 真的好可怕, 又考數, 又考中,英. 還要是比正常K2艱深的. 不知, 要如何預先準備呢? 請指教. 謝謝!

For KLNTL, the interview is total different from outside school, not acedemic, no need to test 5 x 6 = 30 or 9 + 6 = 15 or who is CY Leung, E=MC2 or else. Since starting from last year, Principal Li will directly interview with each kid during 2nd round. It's quite difficult to predict what interview questions are. Principal Li seems to be more likely the kids with type ... amiable, peaceful and relative more nature rather than mature, love reading, eager to learn. co-operative but not aggessive.

3. First round & second round 相隔多久?
4. 小朋友要考英文 or/& 國語嗎?
5. 要interview父母嗎?

1. a small group into a classroom, then one to one to talk to teacher
2. 1st round: 15 ~ 30 mins, 2nd round: 5 ~ 15 mins
3. around 1 month or less, depending on whether the Principal is busy or not at that period
4. see whether your mother language is Chi, Eng or Mar., the teacher will ask your kid in 1st round
5. no need
6. the successful kids coming from various type of kindergarten, including famous one like CCCKG and non famous or not-yet-heard estate kindergerten

少少更正：2nd in 要見父母
小朋友見李校長先，both chinese and english interview （我女話校長比幅圖佢睇，叫佢用英文去形容），校長會比一籃禮物佢揀，我諗是觀察佢點楝及會否講多謝），then,老師會帶小朋友出來等待，家長入內見校長，問咗4-5條問題，仲有，2nd in 時一到學校要填問卷

2011~2012 $2500 per month x 10
School bus, optional, around $800 ~ $1200
Lunch, optional, around $15 per meal
Internet learning website, optional, around $50 per subject per year
External activity, optional: sport, violet, Camb Eng, drama optional, around $80~$120 per hour
Picnic, optional, around $80 per time, twice per year
Oversea tour, optional, midland or singapore or else, one or two per years, around $800 ~ $8000
Anniversity dinner, optional, around $300~400 per head
All the extra activities are optional, cost is very reasonable (after checking with market price and comparing with other primary school)

A. 有關interview, 第一輪會問些什麼呢? (1) 一般生活上問題 , (2) 小小學術性問題, (3) 如何解决小問題, (4) 對答反應 及 (5) 禮貌。
B. 小女比較慢熱, 又不太主動發問. 這情況是否會較蝕底呢? 一定唔會, 老師好有經驗去引導小朋友回答及觀察他們。
C. 以什麼來評估可以入2nd round呢? 老師評分, 主任及校長觀察, but I don't know the standard and weighing score, even interview teachers, I think only principal or vice principal know it.

1. FIRST IN時會寄張空白貼紙，比考生寫上姓名及畫公仔(VERY INTERESTING!)
2. SECOND IN時可能見校長或副校，因為有2間房... 見副校唔代表唔得，因為我個女就係見副校...

Many thanks to ms.bead who mentioned a very important point during interview: "白貼紙，比考生寫上姓名及畫公仔"
最好叫小朋友自已寫上姓名及畫公仔, 一定要好認真咁寫及畫, 計分, 認真分、創意分及誠意分, 仲係應該唔少, 校方會收回貼在 interview result 上作覆核之用, 如果FIRST IN現場表現唔得, 這張小小紙仔有機會幫你囝囝囡囡反敗為勝。但要記住:一定唔可以搵大人幫手,佢地好有經驗,一定睇得出你是否出錨。

哎吔, 你好似形容緊我個囡咁呀。佢 in 親都會保持微笑, 又有禮貌, 畫畫仲超級靚, 不過數學同普通話就........同埋唔agressive, 所以group interview就一定死硬, 因為唔會主動發言。即係最大問題係講英文, 因為佢係識聽唔識講果隻。我反為擔心自己, 會唔會家長in得差, 所以被down咗。

If you have choice, it's very very important to find a primary which is suitable to your kid's character. Of course, no choice no way.

我是無2nd interview, 只是waiting list, 但學校在9／6 早上打比我叫我去註冊，是不是很多人放棄呢？而且在學校websit 裹， 好像話還有些學位？

i think some seats of the private school will be released after lucky draw 'cos of the "paid vs. free of sch fee"...that's true if someone can find a good school but free of charge...
