囝囝幼稚園唔係英普班, 屋企冇講英文, 只係上咗JOLLY PHONICS, 九月上小一, 容易適應嗎? 有冇家長可以分享.

睇下係邊間英小, 有深有淺.
有些初初都只係會學下abc, 等你適應下先慢慢深.
如果真係會上英小, 暑假時同佢補下就OK, 唔使太担心, 小朋友適應得好快.

For my girl, during summer holiday, Mon-Fri English education cartoon or DVD plus phonics and English summer activilties, like learning, group playing, English game and drama, Sat English playgroup, Sun full day rest, 小朋友適應得好快 and she is OK and more confident in P1.

學英文能制造全英語環竟, 有助佢地適應得更快. 不要少看小朋友的潛能. 暑期講多d英文故事書或上英文班, 能夠加快適應, 無須太過擔心

I have experienced 2 totally different "English" schools.  One is entirely English, in terms of Memo/Notices, website, language used in assembly and the teachers talk to the kids in English even at spare time (teachers talk to each other in English too when outing).

The other one is using English as a medium in Mathematics only and General Studies split into English and Chinese.  Other than that, I don't think that it is different from other Chinese school.

If it is former, of course it would be better for the kids to have a better English foundation before going to it.  Having said that, kids at this age learn English fast and you should not worry about it.
