我也不喜歡有精英班, 在小學已被標籤及被定型, 對於遲起步嘅小朋友十分之不公平.

精英班也非一無是處，學習能力各有高低，分班處理未嘗不可，家長視之為標韱，學校視之為因材施教。只要有合理上落機制，自己真的不為入到精英班不可，是可以接受的。

Thanks for your answers. Though I have not decided whether I am pro elite class or not, I am sure it will be a factor of choosing or not choosing a primary school for my child. I agree with the upstairs parent that it helps if the school has clearly defined the mechanism to ensure "healthy flow" and suitable education to the group with the ideal pace. I also think It's crucial to take into account the child's personality. If he is the competitive type, he might do well in a school with elite system even if he gets in the not-elite class, because he will strive for better results and will get into elite class next year. If not he might be better off in another school with no elite class system, to be nurtured without label and unnecessary pressure until sooner or later he will face the cruel reality of competing for a good high school, public exams, etc.

But I am still very curious, so most of the 1st tier famous schools do not have elite class then? ( excepts the ones mentioned)
