呀囡今年五歲,但英文會話很差,去邊度學英文會好d?

朋友的仔仔4-5歲時去了ABC pathway，幾好。這個夏天，我就打算俾仔仔（9月K1) 去3-4 星期的English Summer Camp（很多國際幼稚園都有Summer Camp）。

My son tried both. British Council's teachers are willing to chat with you and tell you how your children are in the class. There is a little note telling you what was taught in class. However, the class size is a bit bigger. (12 for K1, 14 for K2, 16 for K3)

ABC Pathways' teachers try to avoid any discussion or enquiries from parents. Even if you want to ask a simple question like 'how was my child doing so far?', you have to ask the receptionist and then the receptionist will tell the teacher to call you later. But then I never got any replies. Their class size is smaller though. (10). However, after 6 months of class, I still cannot get one single comment from the teacher. My son seems to be ok for both classes.

As for the effectiveness of the teaching, to be frank, I am not sure, as I don't know my son's improvement is from his learning at school or from these learning centers... BC is more like a Playgroup, and ABC will put more focus on doing the workbook.

What is their cost? How many lesson you take per week?

Once a week. BC is cheaper, around $2xx/1.5 hours. ABC costs $3xx/1.5 hours.

ABC is quite expensive. We joined the Kowloon Tong Center. After joining their Cam starter class for a month, they highly recommended my son to join a 1 to 1 class, whcih cost $450 for 45 min.

To be frank ABC will issue a "report" sheet for every 6 months (not too sure but about that). The teacher will give comments. But we can't ask questions directly to the teacher like other centers.

My son loves it but we quitted after the starter exam. We join another center which focus more on workbook training.

what is the best time to join ABC Pathways iif I want Cambridget starter certificate? Do I need to start from k 1 to k3, very expensive ah.

It's about $220 for a one hour class. The time for speaking will not be too much. Hope this help.

My son just finished the mover exam and we will stop for a while. Don't want to study flyer for a while. Looking for something more writing, speaking and interactive activites.

but we joined ABC Pathways at Kln Tong since 20/6. Every staff are nice, and I called several times asking them details of their course and even I ask a girl and the supervisor over an hour as I want my son to upgrade to L2 as he learns almost 90% of their syllabus in PN, just don't know small letters a to z, and cannot write lines and print colour within boundary, it is not worth to waste 10 mths and I want my son to have starters exam at K2 or K3.

They told me they will secretly do assessments and if they find my son has improvement they will promote him to another level (same as what my friends refer me to this school). Even at that time, I am struggle in continuing his K1 at York as York do everything for you (just pay for it) then parents only need to bring him to do some sports/musical classes, etc, or I should change from York to St. Catherine where some mums told me it is good but they are only good at speaking Eng, for maths, chinese, PHT, phonics, cambridge (if I want the exam), I have to seach information everywhere and find courses with suitable time and everyday my maid have to take him to different schools (though most I choose will be at Kln Tong or near my home), the course fees = taking 1 more kindergarden.

The staff over the phone and the supervisor sitting in the room both explain to me and give me constructive advice as they meet many kids from both school. Really it helps me out from my 1 mth headache.

So I think their services is good, but of course their fee is higher than other branches and need referals for joining Kln Tong courses.

I will wait and see if he has improvement later,as my friend tells me her son improves a lot, so as many SC mums that agree with that, and her son jumps from 1 level to another twice.

Hope my son has good performance la as it is quite costly.

可唔可以講多少少荃灣間分校有咩問題？剛過的星期二做咗assessment，我仲想俾我個女報添！
