Infokids每年有個資優生比賽。英文\數學全級頭5%可参加。想問值唔值得參加？

阿女係老師推薦參加(Eng).....可惜雖然有份去比賽, 但....衰左呀~~~

想問直接準備SAT，會不會更有用？

還有比賽考些甚麼？

英作. 我諗係贏左有得去Stanford個夏令營果個experience矜貴d.
"美國史丹福大學EPGY夏令營高度篩選申請者，他們來自全球最資優的EPGY學生 (11歲或以上) 。
獲獎同學必須由學校及InfoKids引薦下，若申請成功，方可修讀在美國EPGY夏令營之課程。"

Infokids is cheating, even my son got higher distinction, they were not helpful for my son's application .

Then, I applied online and directly to EPGY. As he got higher distinction in Talent Search, he accepted easily by EPGY.

They did nothing and not organise a team to go. Finally, I used UMS from CX and he travelled by himself and my friend picked him up in SF. Of course, you can arrange the pick up service with Stanford.

You can apply the summer program without attend the Talent Search. They accepted kids with different qualifications, you can check the list in the summer school website, like WSIC, SB, SAT, SSAT, .........

Yes, EPGY Summer School also accepts SAT and other tests. You can refer to EPGY website.

No need, you can apply online, just what I did 6 years ago.

May be her results not up to your expectation, but I still say she is the top 5% of her school. Don't compare with others.

Some of my son's classmates English standard just like native, can't compare with them.

I know. That's what my daughter said to me....Take it easy mum, those kids are probably from DGS/ IS, can't compare with them.....Well, she's a relax kind of person.

How old is your kid? Or, you are talking about SSAT/SCAT? If your kid is below 13 & planning to take SAT, then I think it is a bit early.

14 should be grade 9, right? If you are confident, then SAT can be a good choice. Please bear in mind that SAT is quite challenging for G9. Maybe SSAT Higher or SCAT are also good choice for your child.

Have you considered HKAGE? Does school recommend student attending the entrance test?

Would you please share your boy's experience or comments on EPGY courses in HK and EPGY in the US?
I am trying to learn more about it from its HK organization that always provide parents with positive feedback.

You join tour before, will they arrange a guide to guide a boy to US? Who pay for the guide?
