both got acceptance.... may I know
which one is better for nursery ??

I have a friend who put his son in Yew Chung for nursery and then change to ST Cath for K1. She said both of them are good but she prefers to send her son to local schools. It all depends on what stream you want, local or international. If you target local schools, better choose St Cath.

Yew Chung nursery is definitely a good start to get into YC primary... but not too sure for other IS.
IS is very hard to get in nowadays.

How's the reputation of Yew Chung among international schools? Is it good too? I am thinking of international stream in the future

Not sure if YC is good or not cos I don't have any experience with this school myself, but I don't see too many good comments about it.

My girl is attending St Cat Lower Class and just accepted by RC. From my limited experience, St Cat should provide u with wider choices.

Majority of students at YC are Hong Kongers. The main language that is used on campus is cantonese. Parents judge whether it is indeed an international school.

I just had a school visit today. I think the students of both school mainly are from HK. May be Yew Chung will have more from mainland and other Asian countries.
In term of language environment, I think it is better than SC as it has a very strong learning support on both English 75%& putonghua 25% daily. Of course u need to pay for it. Small class with qualified teachers in Yew Chung.

Check comments from YC parents in babykingdom. You will have see a lot more comments.

I read all the comments. But I will believe in my eyes rather than comments from others. And I talked to their students today too... I think comments from others can only be a reference. Many people said SIS is good. After school visit, I do not think it's my cup of tea. Will u choose a school for yr kid just based on others comments..?

This is not my dream school. I just want to give comments based on the "topic" asked - compare about the two schools.

我是教界中人，也是yc家長，對耀幼的師資教學法等都非常滿意，yc是行活動教學的，和sc是不同教學法，不能比較。
我曾面試過yc，sc的畢業生，他們作答時風格各異，教學模式不同也 XD
Yc幼在幼教界有極好的聲譽，中小學就明顯差。

Depends on whether u are going for full day. Yew Chung offers full day kindergarten, lunch time, nap time and violin class. SC only offers half day.

I think going to SC would give yourself more option if you have not yet decided on local or international school in the future.

Neither YC nor SC gives you any privilege to other international school.
YC only gives you priority to YC primary.
I know people from both schools got admitted to RC or ESF.
Keeping up with the kid's verbal English ability is key.

you have YC primary for back up if you choose YC over SC
