I have a friend whose daughter is studying in a very traditional girl school. She is very bright and has already passed the Cambridge FCE and IGCSE Math & Eng. with flying color in P4. The girl finds it very boring in school.

Does anyone know whether CKY may accept her and allow her to skip class upon entry? (say, to Year 9?)

Please advise.

Out of curiosity, may I know which grade this bright girl is in now at CKY? Does CKY help much with her further academic development?

Thanks for your concern.
I post here because Grade 9 in CKY is already high school. Anyway, she has already applied and taken the written test as well as the interview.

She's such a talented lady. Some might prefer giving her lots of challenges besides academic training so that she can gain satisfaction from them. Jumping grade is not recommended as she might lack the opportunity to deal with kids at her own age socially.

As you typed P4, I guessed she still in primary, should be F4.

By the way, can anyone from CKY School share his/her views about the igcse stage - Years 9 & 19? Does the school help very much with drilling the igcse exams? Or do the students need to take tutorial class for igcse outside the school?
Does anyone know? Please share.

Can you suggest what sort of challenge to be recommended to her parents? BTW, she always prefers friends older than her.

我自己意見CKY其實一般，我朋友囡囡如果不是希望直接跳班開始IGCSE full cert課程也不會考慮．

聽講st paul co-ed 中四已考igcse, 你朋友女女這麼棒，不如插st paul，何必屈就於CKY？

She has already contacted Convent.  The response is that they don't encourage skipping grades.

For Co-ed., my friend plan to apply in coming Nov., because her daughter is going to participate in an international math competition in Aug. and an open exam in Oct.  She hope that good result in these two can improve her chance of getting into Co-ed.
