小女現讀KCS K1, 一路老師
也非常好又多表演活動，今天KCIS國際打來說有位,一心打算排到差不多小學
才轉，但現在要提早決定。其實我冇特別選int'l or local primary, 只要入到好學校,我哋係灣仔校網,但得15分,所以本地P1 派位唔太安全,但又不太衰因有好校網,而想入int'l school 有GSIS,CIS 但又冇乜方法.
唔知有冇mami有經驗，你哋覺得值不值為了KCIS而放棄KCS? KCIS 係一間好好的int'l school 定一般而己?

KCS school fee is much cheaper and I think KCS is also very good.

Actually, it doesn't matters they go to Int'l or local primary, as long as they can go to a good and famous school, that is my target. Do you think KCIS is a famous school ?

I feel sorry for your daughter with a mom only wanting to put her in a "good or famous school" base on the comment on EK, without trying to understand the different between LS and IS nor which one would suit your girl better.

"Famous/Named" school is not equivalent to "Good" school. My understanding and experience with KCS and KCIS suggest that they are good primary schools in terms of their teachers' devotion/commitment in teaching, non-profit making nature, their good and balanced language exposure (Mandarin/English).

大迷惑：KCS和KICS到底有何不同？
同是蘇浙小學不同體系，對嗎？
幼稚園分local和International. 小學階段也有區別嗎？

KCS is a local school following the local curriculum with more traditional teaching philosophy while KCIS is an international school following British curriculum. KCS Kindergarten, KCS primary and KCIS have different teaching staff and student mix, but report to the same school prinicpal.

Yes, they share the same campus, facilities, logistics and other backend infrastructure (including accounting, etc). This may be the reason why KCIS is charging a school fee comparable to ESF in spite of its lower class size and no government subvention.

KCS K1: English 40 mins; Mandarin 2hr20mins
KCS K2: English 50 mins; Mandarin 2hr10mins
KCS K3: English 60 mins; Mandarin 2hr
KCS P1-P6: Not sure, but the proportion should be around 80% Mandarin and 20% English.
KCIS Kindergaten and Reception class: English 2hr30mins; Mandarin 30 mins
KCIS P1: Mandarin 45mins; the rest is English teaching medium. Streaming for Mandarin starts P1

本人在上個星期二 （13/3) 帶個女去KCIS 中學部考written test &interview，做完了卷後，負責人叫我們等校長親自為我們interview, 過了差不多大半小時，校長從她房走出來說：「unfortunately, I got something to do, I cannot make the interview today, sorry for keep you waiting!」當時我覺得她真是不尊重大家，話明有interview, without any reasons 就可以話唔見就唔見，太兒戲 ！
其實都知這間學校國際中學部都係吔吔嗚，但自己本人對334又沒信心，以我女皃現在是LS P.6 要突然

Actually I had been to their orientation LY., you could tell the teachers had no preparation for that. Bad impression! Now I understood that how come the teachers were like that !經过这次校長的行為,就明白<上樑不正，下樑歪>
之所以投考，是因為無選擇 of IS, because of the long waiting list , 見到個校長做事的態度，我巳決定即使收我個女，也不会讀。

吳好鬥氣，如果小朋友讀local school讀得吳開心，儘快幫佢轉，始終小朋友的福祉係最緊要。
去弘立school tour，個admission officer話高班未full，可能有位，不過就係IS裡最貴。
另外，CAIS也是IS中較易入，係開心校園，不過同local school比就淺好多，可能外國真系吳同亞洲谷得咁勁。
你可以考慮吓。

本人唔係鬥氣，只不過見個校長咁樣，好似沒有糸統做嘢，好兒戲呀！btw, I have handed in the application to isf already. what do you mean "高班末full" which grade ? My daughter is applying for Y7.

係個Admission manager在open day講的，佢話prep class近年競爭好大，但高班的有部分現在仍在招生。

當年有研究過、看過校園，不過最終都無報。
之前有BK家長posted過KCIS IB的成績，一般般。

女女9月會讀維記，維記有行IB的小學做back up，不過就毀譽參半。
我地想找一間開心校園、中英並重及學術水平高的學校，結果發覺非常難...

To be honest，維記就會是很開心，講英文就末必好，因為全校99%是香港人，大圍都講cantonese！其實我想個女係一個好英文環境中自然能講，包括最好classmates 都會自然說英文，好過搵英文 老師once a week to learn. 我都有去isf open day, 佢地真係能做到這點，加上有鄰居也大讚這間school,他的小朋讀得開心.。中、英、普都做得好好！但現時competition 幾大，頗難入呀！r

集合朋友comment，對弘立的評價幾好，最負面都係話佢貴、prep class和初小中文比率太高達70%，和太多大陸人讀。ISF是英語、普通話雙語環境，學術認真，最起碼小朋友吳會hea返學、浪費時間。

多謝你的blessing!actually,處處都有內地人讀,包括LS or IS , 不理school fee 多or少!真是不能介意了！維記也有不少呢！my friend's son studying at G.7 there.

To be honest, I'm not satisfy with KCIS's campus only (thats why no debenture require), other than that, KCIS is quite suitable for my son. He is really enjoy his school life in KCIS.....! From my point of view, KCIS students discipline which is comparatively higher than other IS...!

Hi wife,
What grade is your son at?actually my daughter is accepted as grade 8 for the coming school year. She is now studying at P.6 in LS. There is no choices of IS at all with a long waiting list! Any comments on this school, eg teachers, students, or whatever? I heard that Ms. Daniel has a strong passion on teaching! Are the students mostly speaking English in between? One of the points to transfer my daughter to IS, I really want her to make use of the environment to improve her speaking ability, rather than learning English from the private tutor once a week. Please advice, thanks

May be it is easier to get a place in upper primary class? The application fee is $500 but it seems the chance to get in P1 is very low.

Finally, my daughters got offer from KCIS and we are going to give up KCS seats, really hope they can enjoy IS life. Now, everyday they ask whether they can go to KCIS today.

As I kwon the campus is so so, the results were so so...
And many parents did choose other IS if they got the offer and gave up the seat from KCIS.

(1) Chinses International School
(2) ISF
(3) Singapore International
I think they are good enough. Keep trying until they give you an offer!!

Cis applied but not yet interview & will try coming sept for ISF, but not Singapore int'l is good or not

Really not sure, still doing research on this school, goods & bads comments are 50/50 .
