如果肯定可以好舒服供佢12年IB approach 小學+IB 中學 + 課外活動費用, 我估會去馬, 因大學有排都未到, 到時可能已有第2筆錢夠佢去外國 / 或考到獎學金..

但如果有risk 中間會有機會不能提供所需, 就可能等大學先想. 因為如只係小學又係中學去不到又好似冇咩意思.. 如果小學唔係中學先IB 又好似好難調較學習模式..

option 3: go local now. Consider switching to IB or IS in year 7 till year 13. Go abroad in Uni

For option3, you need to do a lot to upkeep kids' English standard to ensure he/she can get into a good IS in year 7. Local Eng standard is not enough

因為供緊層樓俾6299住，13年後，睇下佢地點，賣得嘅就有錢出國

I think I will agree with HaYi

12年 IB approach might be more benefit to the child. 依家大學的学學位及獎學金都多了, 如果小學及中學可以掌握好語文及又可以掌握學習的興趣及精要等.....

如果是smart , 半功讀, part-time 都可以有個 degree.

LPCUWC is a very good example to demonstrate 2 years IBDP, also cultivate great IBers, not necessary 12 years.
Also Sevenoaks (UK) has the same phenomenon..... I wish SPCC and DBS will repeat the same outcomes.

but the major LPCUWC's student come fm traditional primary / sec or IB trained/approach primary / sec ? I really wonder the top tier fm the existing traditional school , even change to IB at higher grade, will hv outstanding performance ? ANChan59, fm your previous post, I learn a lot,specially about IB and understand your kid are in DBS secondary (?) now, hope u can share with us more on this topic . thx !

Just check the results of IB and the university destinations of LPCUWC, you will see the school out perform most IS & ESF.
Sure, I will share more when the first batch IB students' results and the final destinations announced.

我簡option 1

IB approach現今已越來越多家長都簡, 未來將會更多, 不一定要去外國, 本地大學都有提升了學位, 所以未來大學都會跟隨考生人數, 提供更多學位比IB考生.

如真係唔得要去外國, 都起馬唔驚適應唔到. 錢就計唔到架啦 !!

首先攪清楚何謂IB approach 小學？
呢類型學習模式好蝦人，家長和小孩要慢慢適應，仲要睇個別老師識唔識指導及evaluate學生的進度。叧外小孩要對學習不抗拒，文理都喜歡; 我仔由k1開始就進入了PYP課程，依家Y3, 仍在掌握和學習。
IB學校中有分local school 及 int'l school, 這要看小孩的英文和中文能力而定了。

IB不是唯一選擇，世上學制都是殊途同歸，最重要家長和子女有心。

又，如果孩子能考入2間精英學校（SPCC & DBS ) ，當然可留待中三再考慮了。

海外升學是另一議題，無論讀哪學校，都想他多見世面，到外國或中國升學啊！

只有一筆錢的話，就努力去賺第二筆吧！：）
