讀得SKH同SPK都打算考DSS/Private primary. 但SPK女多男少，女校男生，更係讀SKH好d.

if you aim at lucky draw, there is really nothing to do with the kindergarden, unless you go knock door at the end. Lucky draw is based on the point system and residential area, while DSS and private schools will based on the child's performence, hence which kinder does matter.

For boys in SPK or SH, there is really no advantage, as the primary school only admits girls, hence the "one-dragon" effect does not apply on boys. However these are good schools anyways.

Need to ask individual schools.
But one question you ask yourself before enrolling to the one-dragon schools is that, do you like the primary school that the kinder has close connection with?

If no, don't bother to apply to the kinder. mostly they are focusing on moral education and child development in the long run, that doesn't create any competitive edge for your child to apply for DSS/private schools.

thanks Ack1002，哎呀，睇嚟真係好複雜，因為我見好多朋友都話一定要幫囝囡揀一條龍，我其實唔太明白！因為我就係見有d幼稚園好，小學未必好，佢地好似好盲目！唉……我睇我要先研究心儀嘅小學，再揀幼稚園，又要睇埋幼稚園同咩小學有關係先……thanks……

exactly. You need to figure out what kind of primary school you prefer, then work back to choose a kindergarten.

but if you already got enough points in the allocation of discretionary place stage for your target primary, you can just pick a kindergarten you like.

Yes, we must know what type of primary school we like before applying to the right type of kinders.
