Anyone know what's the PN interview format like @ Victoria?  Is it group or individual interview?  Is there a session/interview for parents too?  What Qs do they ask?
Do you know how many students do they take in the Victoria (CWB) campus?
If I have put in a few preferences, does it mean that if they did not offer the first preference...they will offer 2nd ... to the last preference provided?

We attended PN interview 2 years ago. It is a group interview. 1 parent is allowed to accompany the kid. The atmosphere is very relax, just like attending playgroup. The parents and kids can sit and play at the table they like. Teacher will come to u to chat a bit and observe a while. Then they sit together in a circle and English teacher told them a short story but no question afterwards. Then the Chinese teacher led the kids to sing a song with motions. That's all.
Regarding the 'parent's' interview, it is in fact optional and not an interview. When i reported at the counter on the interview day, the staff asked me if I would like to join the discussion with principal (they run several sessions on that day) and I was told that it is not part of the interview and would not count for admission. They just wanted to let u know more about the school and wanted to hear comments/suggestions from applicants.

I took a photo on the number of available places for each campus for your info.

30 mins for interview... As far as I remember, we started and left on time.

6 to 8 kids I think but it depends on whether the kids in your group show up on that day....

will they ask/interview the baby? As my son still cant talk,I afraid he cant answer the teacher's questions!!

As far as I remember, the language used in interview depends on which teacher comes to u... Can be native speaker or Chinese teacher. It doesn't matter if the kid can't speak as it is PN interview...just play or point at books or toys or dad/mum. Don't worry! That's my experience 2 year ago and I am not sure if it is still the same.

I remember some kids can't even walk very well, not to mention to talk!

No, I didn't as I was pregnant and caught a cold on that day. However, the campus I applied is less popular as compared with others (but close to our home) and my kid was attending the playgroup at that campus. From what I have observed and heard from others, it appears to me that the style of different campus is very different.
I think it is better to attend if u really want to send your kids to this school. You can know more about the school and get an impression on the principal as she is administrating the school. Be prepared that some parents are rather aggressive and like to show off their English or occupation in their words but you know, your impression on the school should not be affected by other parents.

Hi, many thanks for your sharing.

So the discussion with principal will be conducted in English right?

Actually my baby is attending playgroup at Campus A but we applied Campus B. Do you know whether we can still enjoy the so-called "privilege" for playgroup children (if any)?

I didn't join the discussion so I didn't know the language used. As far as I remember, my friend told me that it is in Cantonese. However, some parents like to speak with their kids in English loudly during interview or at the waiting area and some parents like to speak in Cantonese with English in between during discussion with principal.

I heard that there is no privilege for playgroup student if u choose PN in other campus.

It's really a sad news for me... But I really like campus B better than campus A. I have thought of transferring my application from campus B to campus A but eventually I gave up....

No.. My elder girl didn't speak in the interview and understand Cantonese and very limited English. You can stay closer to the Chinese teacher when u enter the room (if the format is still the same)...hope Chinese teacher will come to talk to your kid.. Instead of interviewed by native speaker.... Story is in English but the teacher illustrated the story with plush toys, so the kids would not be too impatient.

BTW, I've heard from some parents that if the elder brothers / sisters are in their school, their siblings will have higher chance in getting in as well!!
