今天回家時乘MTR見到兩個KG5 YR10的男孩在用手提電腦,偶而指着個「芒」叫另一個睇下,然後有講有笑咁講個「芒」D野………見他們邊用手提電腦邊哼歌,很開心似的便以為他們在玩GAME……
但臨到站時,我忍不住看了看佢個「芒」,原來是在做電腦立體草圖,大概是功課.
我忽然想起呀囡次次做功課果個儼如喝苦茶的表情,覺得IB真的能令人愛上學習,比香港的教育好,
也許這就是IB的過人之處。

Yeh, my son learnt Auto-Cad in Design and Technology, from G7 to G9, in local curriculum. Not related to IB.

這個我知,因為呀囡F.1-F.2都有讀Design and Technology,都係鋸下膠片畫下電腦草圖咁只係覺得IB(KG5是行IB吧)令學生做功課咁開心,有少少覺得好好咁
因為以前呀囡D電腦草圖樣樣都幾乎限死晒,乜創意都發揮唔到,好慘

KGV does not use IB curriculum from Y7-11, students take GCSE/IGCSE. IBD starts only at Y12.

In IS, all schools use a lot of computer software to teach and students need to do a lot of things using different software since primary schools.... no big deal.

Local schools now also gradually use more.
To my understanding, IB's essence is "Critical Thinking" across all subjects.

Last night have a long chat with my son, his comment on IB, current affairs, personal goals etc...... Fairy independent and fair comments. I have a feeling his analytical skills and presentation improved a lot. I feel IB is an important factor and maturity also another one.
