Hi all: Just want to check on whether anyone has any information about the "Waiting List" students. Any one received any call from them? Last time I heard was about 2 weeks ago that they were in the process on selecting. Very much appreciate on any update information. Thanks in advance!!

No, I know people failed but not put on waiting list.

Maybe CKY is also waiting for YW results

to exclude those who prefer YW but use CKY as backup; there may already be some who have got straight offers from CKY.

that's understandable, it means they believe more would drop the straght offers after the luck draw; actually there might be candidates on the waiting list giving up because 'waiting' too long

but where you got this message, looks like an official announcement, quite authoritative?

Today I heard the same story that some 3rd interviews are conducted a few weeks ago. For those who really desire to get a place, perhaps need to write a few more letter to express your sincerity

i don't mind writing letters, but i am puzzled is that the way to screen applicants given two rounds of interview have been conducted?

it seems to be also a test of patience, in particular if they conduct a 3rd round of interview privately without setting out the time schedule for those who are waiting.

Hi 2012P1

Many of the schools picked the child just within 2 rounds of interviews。i might have to say this is a common pratice in HK。Many of rhe school will put thier prefer candidates in the waiting list。 They might have a mark for every candidate but unfortunately this is not opened in, i believe, in all of the school in Hong Kong。

Besides patience and keep writing to school to show your sincerety, there is nothing much that a parents can do unless you knew SOMEBODY

I suppose writing letter is the only choice that you can do at this moment and something that i will keep doing , just like buying a mark six.

Seriously, I had already not putting too much hope of it and planning for my second choice of school for my child.

Btw, does anyone know whether they do give out rejection letter? I wouldn't mind for them to tell me your child has no chance to get in, this has been torchering my husband and I for the past few months.

It's been almost 2 months after "third interveiw" (I heard there were 3rd interview from CKY in early March). Is there any new acceptance or update from those candidates who has 3rd interview? Does it mean CKY only chooses from 3rd round interview to fill up the space?

Logically, this make sense for the 3rd interview candidates to fill out those spots first before they reconsider the 2nd interview canidates.

Hi all: Heard that last Sat. the accepted students had to pay the big "Registration fee". Are there a lots of people registered on that date? Any mom can provide some information on that date? Thanks in advance!!

Yes, 要交1個月學費,
書費, 校服, 校車安排當日亦已有資料.

由於當日只有我先生出席,
他說出席人數亦很多!

通告內容說明, 如當日沒有出席, 亦沒有提前把支票寄去學校的,
視作效棄學位,
相信on waiting list 的人很快收到 call 了.

The new student orientation held last Sat and the candidates need to hand in a form to confirm if they will turn up in Sept together with the cheque. Might have some drop off. They will start to call the waiting list.

if this is the case, disregard on whether you have 1st, 2nd or 3rd interviews, they pick whatever they like or even may have some tapping shoulder seats available for friends. Anyway good luck to the rest of the "Unlucky one" and hope you will receive the call very very soon!!
