Officiated by the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, the ceremony aims to inaugurate a group of high potential secondary students as official members of the Academy for the Talented.

I saw this event yesterday in HKU, what is it?

It's a selection of senior secondary students (recommended by school principals and approved by HKU). Special programs / courses will be offered to these students and e-portfolios recording the attendance and may be performance will be created for each student. HKU will consider these records if the students apply for HKU later on.
