CLC of course is an excellent school and its 34th ranking is very high. My friend's girl got over 10A* from this school.

I would prefer the kid to go for Grade 9 and study one foreign language in HK to prepare for her future IGCSE foreign language subject.

My friend's girl also studied DGS. It's not surprising many top notch elite Uk schools like the top notch traditional school students from DGS, DBS , LA salle etc .

I have 2 girls who studied in CLC before. Very good school. depends which grade/form you are going to enter in CLC.
12 is a bit young, but year 9 accepts 13 years old anyway
they do accept girls in their Year 11 entry for A-Level or IB

Cheltenham Ladies College (CLC) is a wonderful school in a beautiful part of Cheltenham. I visited the school last May and met 2 girls from DGS, Year 10 and Year 12 and both girls said they are really happy there, I met two another girls from HK, one from Singapore International at Year 8 and another one from Sacred Heart also in Year 8. I guess entering in the lower years is easier than at Year 10 and Year 12. Good luck to you all.

yes it is a top school in the UK. my friend's daughter now at cheltenham was at maryknoll back then.
