Could anyone give me some comment about these 2 kindergartens? We just went to 明我 interview yesterday and don't know how to choose. Heard that 明我 is a very straight school vs. St. Anna is more "hae". Which school is better?

我沒有研究Ming Wai, 因為朋友以前講過Ming Wai 比較commercial, 所以我對佢印象麻麻，不過亦有聽過有人話Ming Wai 都ok, 其實番幼稚園方便真係好緊要，小朋友咁細個揍出街點都係交通方便最好

Agree agree! Their interview is toooo efficient, since too many kids for them to choose.....Anyway, I don't expect any offer from DSK, my daughter cried for the whole process, and the teacher tried to say goodbye to us soon after she cried

My daughter has St. Anna am offer too!!

Yesterday, St Anna call me said that there are seat available for my son in N1, but I said no thanks, as I got offer from 明我 & St James, I still thinking which one to go for.

i wil go for 明我 most probably...(very tough decision)
although i live nearby st anna actually(just few minutes walking distance, for n1, it is perfect), the allocation of primary school of 明我 is better.

But allocation of primary school is according to your home address. You are in net 16?

i live in net 14 oh...then there will be no advantage for the allocation of primary school even my son study in 明我, right?
actually, i am really confused to the 升小/升中 mechanism...even i study the "game" again and again...

Let me explain a bit: if you target 津貼或官立小學，派位分自行（即計分）及大抽獎，如果自行派唔到，咁就要等大抽獎，then it is depends on which net you are living. It has no relationship of which kindergarten your Bb graduate.

自行派位係計分制，不受校網管制
如父／母或兄／姊為該小學的畢業生(+10分)或小朋友有阿哥家姐在該校讀緊，咁你bb就係必收生(25分)
軒小係官立，沒有宗教背景，如小朋友是你首名bb，即係用15黎抽自行
St. Joseph & 華仁都一樣，但這兩間有宗教背景學校，如果你bb都有同一宗教背景，就加5分(即total 20分)

至於機會率大唔大，以下有d數字可以參考吓

               自行收生學額       統一派位學額
軒小(AM)    63                         63
軒小(PM)    63                         63
華仁(AM)    30                         30
華仁(PM)    30                         30
ST. Jo          70                         70

自行入唔到心儀小學的話，如果你係同區(net12)，咁統一派位咪多次機會去抽

我個仔係am class! 你呢?

我都見封信係10號出, 但郵chop都係12號(星期六), 所以尋日先收到都好正常! 但學校都無理由咁遲先出信架!

My son is pm class. 其實仲唸緊讀唔讀好，好唔捨得St James 啊，個個都勁讚，但離我屋企遠，要搭校車我又唔係好想

其實呀仔讀明我, 都要坐校車, 應該咁講我幫佢報既學校都要坐校車, 只係邊間近d咁解~

我自己住柴灣, 聖道明一早收咗呀仔am class, 而明我只係收pm class, 不過可以排後補am class, 我當時諗如果入唔到明我am class, 我就會俾呀仔入聖道明! 其實我自己鐘意聖道明多d, 因為校舍大, 環境又好, 老師都ok, 又近d, 不過都係要坐校車, 但最終都簡咗明我, 因為呀仔好百厭, 明我比較嚴同科程深, 我想佢入小學可以輕鬆d~

st. james 離你好遠?

如果番明我，只需搭幾個電車站，番St. James, 喺銅鑼灣富豪酒店後面，嗰個位置好少車到，巴士要行幾條街，搭電車又太慢，所以只可搭校車

我体咗明我個K1課本list, 中文既學習書都跟呂郭碧鳳一樣，英文就唔同，不過明我係咪冇phonics學架？唔見有phonics 書既？我都聽講明我夠深、寫字勁多、老師夠惡，啱哂對付我個曳仔，但唔知課程方面其實係咁同其他幼稚園差不多？所以K1都唔知轉唔轉呂郭好？！

Yes ah! My son will study in St.James N1, I think it is a very good school, because 2 of my elder son' classmate studied in St James n1 last year, both of them were very satisfied with St James except the school is not spacious.
