Any parent of SIS (Secondary) could share the comment of the school ?  It's curriculum is ICGCE then IB DP, is the workload similar to IB MYP and what is the rough ratio of native english / PTH speaking children there ?  My child just finished the accessment interview and like the school very much, would like to seek those parents with children study there such as to know more of the school if my child luckily get an offer.
Thanks a lot

Probably SIS is the most intense international school in terms of academic curriculum.  For your reference, a grade 4 student will write a 2-hour math exam.  They also have other projects in social studies of which students are expected to conduct their own research, process the date and information, and present their findings in PowerPoint

I know it's not funny but my first reaction to your post is that SIS sounds like Silly IS.

Instead of Silly IS, I'd say it's Strong IS.  Thei graduates are extremely competitive and the school prepares the students go to top-tier schools in US and UK.  Not to say that this is the absolute definition of success and happiness, it ultimately depends on one's interests and ability

Singapore is a society not unlike Hongkong, so it is no surprise that SIS is as intense as a top tier local Hongkong school, after all, many of their students are Singaporeans who may return home and rejoin the schools there, so SIS must keep up with the intensity.

There are many reasons for sending one's children to international schools instead of local schools, but If the main aim is to prevent them from becoming stuffed ducks, then SIS may not be the best choice.
