It is just an indication of a completion of a stage. Bachelor degree doesn't represent anything special for a long time already...... but seems many youngsters are still not aware of that. (Beware this doesn't imply getting an advance/ graduate degree would then mean anything)

事實上真係有人問我幫唔幫一個大學生補習, 幾年前我亦

Which subject(s), which program and university?
I can accept thesis and dissertation editing, not tuition......

不是論文, 係財務科目, 大學名就唔講喇, 不過世界排名都100內.

細仔語言能力慢一年,但認知能力快一年,唔係好明,搞到我頭暈.

你个case 都几罕见, 通常語言能力慢的孩子, ,多数認知能力都弱少少.  既来之, 则安之, 无所谓啦, 咪讲少D野, 唔容易比老师罚.

認知能力快一年. Bravo!  通常老师对聪明学生另眼相看, 就算唔宠爱有嘉, 都唔会比脸色佢睇, 几好吖!

邻居的男孩是語言能力慢一年,肢体能力慢两年, 佢阿妈物都无做, 只是系甘带佢参与运动, 人家孩子踢球踢完一个course 就升班, 佢个仔要踢足四个course, 佢阿妈无理甘多, 总之是每星期游泳, 踢球, 溜冰做个不停.  今天孩子高大威猛, 是长跑和游泳健将, 口水多过茶, 物人都顷一餐, 同学校个cook 好鬼熟, 放学留校活动好鬼肚饿, 阿cook 哥哥会留D好饭菜给他的.  EQ 和口才叻过好多成年人.

我想无几耐你个細仔多野讲到你頭暈. 补番过往語言能力慢的日子.预先恭喜!

Awah,
My girl used to use speech therapists for two years, now at 6, much more better. She is in a school using enquiry based learning, all the time need presentations in class, I found this quite useful for her to learn without pressures to speak up before her peers. At the begining I has a bit worry for creating stress for her, but I think kids learn among kids, peer learning is benefit to her in her case.

Observe a couple of years, and you may need to let go the language issue, focus on coming issue(s) and new challenges...... Enjoy it....
