I've been fully occupied by my son's P1 application. At first, I didn't think about my daughter's K1 application because she could get in her brother's kinder. w/o any problem. Before I started my son's P1 application, I had naively thought that a non-famous kinder. wouldn't be a problem as long as I nurture him full-time w/full support, & I'm well-qualified to do so. But now after this painful P1 application process, I've figured out that a famous kinder. does count for P1 application since the no. of applicants has gone crazily large.

So I need to find a good/famous kinder. for my daughter. I've applied for Heep Yunn already and know SKH Kinder. is going to recruit students. How about others? Can I still knock doors on those I missed the application deadlines in Mar/Apr/May next year as I heard that some seats might be released around that time period? As for Heep Yunn & SKH Kinder., will the competition be less intense because many children got offers already?

如果已經interview完而仲有位俾你扣門的,都應該不是你所指所要的名校了.
而協恩同聖公會我相信都唔會competition細左囉,最主要原因兩間都收得少人.hy60個,skh120個.而好多人有offer都仲會等考呢二間.我覺得預左最少20幾個爭1個位.由其是hy,因為佢真係太少位了.

完全同意“日日見住你”，這兩家你只可以當是買六合彩，中則可喜，不中則是正常。。。。我手上也有offer，我也會去買那兩家的六合彩。。。呵呵

Thanks for your sharing! Previously I was naive & missed almost all the deadlines. Now I've realized that a good/famous kinder. is important as the competition for P1 is fierce. Now I can find only Heep Yunn & SKH Kinder. to apply. If I fail, I'll switch to a kinder. under SKH management near my home. Then I'll try these 2 schools again for K2 in addition to CCKG. It seems that I have no choice but follow the rules of the game based on my experience I gained from my son's P1 application.

還有聖士提反仲未招生，可以試吓。

其他家長講，有d名幼稚園K3生今年都係無好offer。

Thanks! You mean St. Stephen's girl school? But it's too far for me, as I live in the Kowloon side. The farthest I can go is Central, where SKH Kinder. is located. I know that some famous kindergartens' students haven't gotten good offers. My son is from a non-famous coupon-sponsored kinder. and got offers from GT & St. Joseph (in Kowloon Bay) & waiting list on Po Leung Kuk TSL, among others. If he were from a good/famous kinder., he would have gotten better result, I'm sure. So on reflection, I've got to get a good kinder. for my daughter to avoid the same mistakes that I've made to my son.

SKH會搬去銅鑼灣呀！其實年年都可以「沖擊」你中意的學校，小朋友越大，考學校越見真章。
佢「口力」，一定會出頭

SKH is just temporarily moved to causeway bay because of renovation works. it will move back to Mount Butler afterwards, not Central

有咩證據考得入名校你個仔就一定考到好小學?
你知唔知名校學生都有落空的機會?

名校, 入到當然好, 但非名校不一定是差學校, 村校都有好學校
何況, 你仔仔都有兩間 Offer, 不是太差吧!
我真係識人一個offer 都無..........

讀名校就一定考到更好的小學, 此言論未免會引起恐慌.......
哩到好多家長仲等緊名校放位出來, 佢地己經好擔心了, 聽完你咁講, 萬一wait 唔到, 就更大壓力.

讀名校是緣份, 隨緣啦! 唔係得名校哩一條出路.......

黎得BK的父母都係重視小朋友教育的，大家都花好多心機栽培仔女。小朋友可能舊年喊、十問九吳應，但你教得佢好，佢優秀的quality遲早會show出來。

我有朋友真系年年都花幾千元報名，讓子女考心儀的某國際學校，年年都落空。直至一年，開始有筆試，就脫穎而出。所以吳好灰心，要對自己和小朋友有信心。
