據我所知應該係有個BANDING／GROUPING， 1A，1B，1C，2A。。。

我知2C前都一定入到（Except 個別例子）
BAND 3A 就有小部分會入到

如計平均80分係入唔返.起碼要90分先入很返.

Of course not 90! I didn't use to get 90 for an average mark and I was in the group of band 2A. Um... As I know, MSS accept 85% of MPS girls at most, for MSS is the feeder secondary school.

Therefore, if you're within Band 1-2 (MPS girls only), you may be accepted by MSS, and some Band 3 top ones can be accepted.

Usually, the band 2C girls got B/C, and perhaps D, for the core subjects, so, if you think they couldn't enter MSS just because they didn't get the average mark of 80, then you're wrong =(

is a must that u can get into MSS if ur children got grp 2A or above

Thank you bearbear.

That means a lot of the MPS girls will not get to MSS.

That is a totally different world from our days..

I wonder what has happened in ally these years. Did the education reforms suppose to have less unnecessary pressure to the students?

But if there are 100+ MPS student going to MSS, that mean about 63%+, right?
There is still not much and does not reflect the efforts, Mrs Ma, their teachers and the students have put in.

I have just heard that EB only classified the students' grades into Band 1, 2 and 3. They do not have Band 2A, 2B and 2C.

I am a bit confused here.

Is there any mechanism in MSS to distinguish and selected better students in 2A, and 2B in the process?
Or that students in Band 2A, 2B or 2C all have the same chance to be allocated to MSS based on the random number allocated to their student ID?

Does anyone know?

the top students will get into 1A, than 1B and 1C
thats mean 1A is the best in band 1
as same as band 2

1A= number 1-18; 1B= 19-36; 1C= 37-54; 2A= 55-72; 2B= 73-90; etc
If 100 students get in, then some of 2C will be in.
Of course each year, about 5-8 top students will leave MPS and go to other even better schools.
