標題: 請教 KTS 家長 for 升中問題 [打印本頁]

有冇家長知道.
如果就讀KTS,成績約為中下,約考 100-140名左右,是否升中時,入左 Kowloon Tong Banding 3 架.

If yes,考入KTS,讀得辛苦,但入左中學 band 3,為了什麼....

若以以上資料來說, 考100名以後都多考band2/ band2中的直資中學. 有些成績稍遜但有其他長處, 如口齒伶俐interview做得好的, 也能考到band1尾/ 2頭的英文津中.

sorry.....may I ask from past experience, my child now got waiting, is the chance still there??? would KTS send reject letter for 2nd interview??? cos I saw everyone either accepted or waiting...... so upset.....

無論是reject/ waiting, 都可嘗試再叩門, 留意校網通告吧.

Thanks! May I ask if KTS will only call waiting list in June, or whenever there is someone give up, they will call waiting list???

相信會到六月一起通知, 否則admin方面會亂. 放心吧....很多被accepted的考生亦有考SFA/ DGJS/ APS...當她們被其他學校accepted時便會releaseKTS個位, 始終KTS不是很多人的首選.

其實為什麼KTS不是首選？我打算放棄SFA而取KTS,但很多人勸我要三思,我真的很傻嗎?

我只是希望小兒能在愉快的環境下學習,學術程度不用太深,最重要是品德的培養,難道是不合時宜、太天真嗎?

Thanks so much for your reply! It will be so hard for us to wait for 6 months or even 8 months.... I hope KTS can call waiting once ppl give up their offer.... as I also believe KTS is not many ppl's 1st choice, but it is definitely my first choice....I also hope that ppl can decide very soon when they get other their better offer..... and being more considerate..... (as I know some parents would hold many many seats until 1/9/2012, which is not a good behavior), except to wait, what do you suggest me to do / what i can do now???? Thanks again!

我認同Yanamami的說話,不過KTS也是很多人的首選,小兒當年也獲APS取錄,但我最終選擇了KTS,至今我認為選擇是正確的!

Laney,了解你的憂慮,你不妨看看KTS的一些舊TOPICS及小一選校,也有不少人留下心得,不少人也是waiting入,甚至reject後再apply而成功的,never give up!!!!!

我打算放棄SFA而取KTS >> I also gave up SFA offer and took KTS 6 years ago.

I think it is the right choice because I also want my son to be able 在愉快的環境下學習 and 重要是品德的培養.

After 6 six years of study, it is proved to be correct.

向校長表示入讀誠意是暫時可做的事. 快X'mas了, 請孩子寫張X'mas card給楊校長, 告訴她自已多希望在KTS上學......希望明年可參加KTS 的X'mas party. 每個月也寫信給校長, 希望能令她對自已印像深點. 爸媽一樣也可寫信給校長表明心意.

lingling06, ＂我只是希望小兒能在愉快的環境下學習,學術程度不用太深,最重要是品德的培養,難道是不合時宜、太天真嗎?＂　去年我跟你一樣，選校時遇到一些使人心情忐忑的關口。我們認識KTS後，就把KTS列為首選，取錄後，放棄 in APS 的機會，亦放棄了CKY, 九龍塘聖家等offer，有人覺得我們的選擇很奇怪。香港有很多好學校，我們只需要選一間最適合自己孩子的學校而已。開學三個月，孩子過著愉快的校園生活。這裡有很多聰明伶俐的小朋友，老師教學很嚴謹，學術水平是很不錯的。

Thanks all current KTS parents.... how nice you are, and it's also a reason why I like KTS so much, cos the users (that's you, you and you) also like KTS soooooo much, which can show that KTS is a very very good school!
I will send letters to Ms Yeung, even it may be a long long wait, my family will keep praying and hope my boy can study in KTS... BTW, I am already proud that my boy can at least have waiting after 2nd interview, it's so hard to be 300/3200 application this year! (it's only my guess that 150 offer, and may be 150 wait list???)

每年都有很多家長要在 KTS, APS and SFA 中選擇，早十年、八年，可能KTS不是首選。不過，近年由於 KTS 愈來愈進步，情況已很不同。
三間學校名有所長，看小朋友適合那間和看家長的取向。

一般家長多數沒有留意到各學校近年的演變，而且 KTS 比較低調，所以他們還用舊有的認知去判斷，所以有偏差。

你不是太天真，KTS 學生升中時也很有競爭力，不用擔心。(Providing that 你有"準備"，機會總是留給有準備的人。)

KTS教學模式係活學活用，一般抄寫、默書，要死記嘅都吾多，有d家長覺得咁樣係好似無咩實質嘢學到。但我就非常喜歡，因我相信將來嘅社會需要嘅人材係要懂得自己思考，而吾係copy cat。我囝囝6年學校生活，係佢將來發展好好嘅基楚

我哋去年聽talk，話KTS考到好尾嘅學生，去到某些地區係可以入到嗰區好好嘅學校。聽聞去年一位女學生，佢考全級60-70名(全級110人)，佢入到沙田聖羅撒，好似話呢間响沙田係Band 1。

我的兒子(KTS 舊生)正是坐不定多言的小朋友，可能因為改錯名.......

兒子只是偶然需要被老師 "提示".....

KTS 校園生活是很開心的，不用擔心。

Strongly recommend 應儘早部署好動的小朋友入 KTS 運動校隊。
