Finally got another second in. For CKY, I guess the chance for admission is 3.x to 1 as the total second in is about 550. Add oil everyone.

it would only be group interview. no parents involvement

Note that you are waiting for the result of SSCPS as well. Do you know when that will be announced ? If lucky enough to get both, which one would you choose ? (similar school fee but very different location)

Tough question. This is what my husband and I discussed almost every other night.
These two are the our top schools in mind.
I wouldn't think they are very very different but there are differences....(teaching method, environment, parents' involvement, and location...)

去年的形式是: 小朋友去group interview, 大人(3pair家長)一起見老師進行group discussion.

小朋友的內容包括談話、聽故事答問題。

大人就是答一題處境題，是每人輪流回答，不是辯論形式，過程大概10-15分鐘。我去年的問題是: 如果你的子女被同學打，你會如何處理?

我們去年在waiting room等時，看見有些是大人先被叫離waiting room去group discussion，有些是小朋友先被叫去group interview，我們屬前者，當時我好驚我的小朋友會因此而害怕哭起來，幸好她沒有。所以建議你們先同小朋友講可能有這情況出現，免得他們受驚。

I called the school just now. They said one or both parents (no need to have both mom and dad, but need parent) will see the supervisor for a few minutes.

One supervisor would talk to the parent at one time. No 'group discussion' for parents this year.

But the staff said about this with some hesitation, so I rather believe YY天使 's experiences from last year to have 'psychological preparation myself'. (for myself, I am more scared about group interview!).

But it is true that when I submited the application form this year, the teacher told me that no parents involvement are needed. But of course I trust what I heard from the phone and YY天使's experiences more now.

So, parent(s) need to take another day off...

And about parent's 'group discussion', the person said 'it depends on the flow'. It is possible to have parents' 'group discussion', although she said higher chances would be the supervisor' one on one talking with parents.

Just got the call from CKY, the staff said there is a parent session, but format not sure yet. For sure, may be needed to wait for the reporting from Day one (01/12) Second interview parent.

Hope 01/12 Second Interview parent can share after that.

I asked about parent interview and the admin said "可能會有" but one parent is OK.

My case is similar to Ha! but she loves reading & prefer discipline environment for learning.

I like this school eventhough I think it would be a bit expensive for our family. But so far my son is not accepted in this school ... so God decided for our son and our family.

I like this school too. and I was so sad that my son was not granted a 2nd interview. After the 1st interview, my son was very happy but I knew he didn't do well in chinese word recognition and the colouring task following the chinese written instruction. So I do think those kids having second interview are really strong in both chi and eng. Good luck to all.

家長部份非常簡單, 只在禮堂外放了幾張台進行, 主要是對下出世紙, 問了2條有關上次填問劵上的問題, 2分鐘OK.. 但我亦見其它家長同個老師談得比教久, 不知主要原因是?

for kids part, my son can't told me detail as every school, but I know he means fill in something (words) by following vedio, hv chinese and eng, no PTH, I also think is a bit academic then 1st one.. it take about 1 hr in their part, I don't know is really so few jobs he is required to do or not..

I do like CKY as it is one of the happy school I can feel fm the moment we enter the campus, fm the security staff to those teachers who in charge of interview process...specially the game like finishing by the "MC" teacher, BIG wind game, red green light.. kids feel enjoy.. no matter the result, I think today has been a good day...

見老師都是對對出世紙，看來似消磨家長的時間。以前，老師會與家長談很多問題，因為未必很多家長理解學校理念，恐防有錯配出現。但時至今天，可能學校的情況已經較被人瞭解，就唔駛講咁多啦。

As I know, some siblings of CKY students cannot get into 2nd interview. But I think the teachers may not ask the parents question if they already got kids studying there.

確實係有些弟妹未能晉身第二回合。第二回合主要是做papers.

Thanks for your kind words. Seems my son thought the 2nd interview was ok so now I feel more relaxed. he cannot tell me in detail what he did but some was in English, some in Chinese. No PTH. He said some singing and some watching video and listening to a story.

My girl did not go thru' the 1st round. But she somehow got accepted by Evangel College and Logos. Also we got Heep Yunn - a big relief!

U never know..... education is a long process.. many more years of tears and laughter! What we as parents can help is to help them get equipped and build up the right learning attitude and things should all work out at the end!
