我係路人甲來, 3間都無考, 但如果係我會選近屋企不用搬, 一條龍不用煩, 又是band one, 其他到中學又要再煩一次. 只是個人意見.

呀靚, 俾我會讀St Louis, 傳統名校有佢自己獨特的heritage, 對佢成像有正面影響, 係其他學校好難代替. 希望你St Paul Boys都得啦!!!

其實好多學校近年都係差o左啦! 因為banding 由 5 改 3, 好多band1 學校逼住收果班以前係band2 但家下變了band 1尾的學生, 有咩辦法唔水準下降呢?! 津中一定有此情況, 返而以前band2頭的中學受惠, 因為有班唔好彩的band1學生可能跌了落去, 所以近十年band1/band2頭大執位囉. 我母校都係band1, 都係受哩個情況影響, 又係俾外人話"跌了很多, 學生差了", 但我常常到唔同學校, 比較過我又唔覺真係"差了咁多"囉! 老師都同我講家下班學生質素係同以前唔同, 但哩個問題係全港性發生, 相比下其實仲係比其他學校好. 哩樣亦係點解咁多傳統名校轉直資的原因, 佢地要keep住唔跌"watt"就一定要有絕對收生自主權先得.

I think the reasons why St Louis sec section has been accepting some band 2 students recently are mainly because:

1. The number of band 1 pri students in central and western students can't fill up all the spaces in band 1 sec schools, that why some band 1 sec schools will accept some band 2 students. *The school net of C and W district is too good and there are too many good sec schools (according to the guideline of EDB, only 30% students of a particular school is classified as Band 1 Students, pls correct me if it is wrong)

2. As St Louis sec school  (直屬中學) will accept 50%-85% of the students from its pri section.  In that case, some band 2 students can go into its sec section as well.

It can explain why St Louis secondary section will accept band 2 students.

However, if you look at its HKCEE result, it is a band 1 school.  and I think in the official documents from EDB, it is a band 1 school as well (pls correct me if it is wrong).  So, I think no need to worry.

According to the school reports, there are qualified students who can be directly accepted by University after completing HKCEE.  I think as long as the school can provide a good platform to the students to study, studying in King's and St Louis can't make a very big difference.  Whether the students are superior or not is basing on its own attitudes.  And I think studying in St Louis can provide a happy, joyful and energic environment to learn.

三間都不錯, 我會選地區, 不用搬遷最好啦!

協助仔女適應一間新學校已非容易事, 開學時我都會1星期以上, 不上班去配合及了解仔女的適應情況及心理狀況如何, 才放心啦, 還要搬家, 再要多一重心理負擔, 我覺得對父母壓力太大了

如你所講, 崇真 & 福附如果只是BAND 2, 甘你應該知道點CHOOSE 啦 !

聖類斯(已註冊)- 觀塘St Joe(未註冊)- 禮賢(未註冊)

都係住九龍東, 而家煩緊邊間好, 想快決定, 如不考慮St Joe及禮賢, 便不註冊了....免浪費學位...

其實聖類斯好似好好, 有Band 1英中, 但係搬屋真係幾煩, 買又貴, 如果唔搬, 就算有校巴返學都好鬼遠, 點呀.....

St Louis is the best among the three cos: -

1. it is a well established primary school with good tradition. 福附 is a new school without any track record; and
2. both St Louis & 福附 have a decent through train secondary school as back up but St Louis has a higher chance to get into a top tier secondary school.

Just my 2 cents.

Hihi, how is yr result of RC? I m only on the waiting list..... so I ll go to St Louis.....
I think st Louis has good experiences on boys' education since it has been a boys' school for nearly 100 yrs...

Among these three, I would pick st louis....

Btw, I always choose schools with feeder secondary for my kids.... cos' I don't wanna put too much pressure on them. Two yrs ago, my daughter got a seat from St Paul's Primary Catholics School in Happy Valley (have a secondary school next to it) and this yr I have chose st Louis, which also has a feeder secondary school. I think this is the most concern issue when I chose schools for my kids

Acutally, I agreed with u, I was thinking abt if my son's results are good, can let him try better secondary schools, e.g. King's and St Jo in Western District
But beware that St Stephen's is a Girls' school and St Paul's Boys is a DSS Secondary school now.

st. louis is a traditional good school you should consider this school seriously when compare to 'fook fu' since it may also benefit to next next generations...this is what i think.
