my kid has an interview in both KG on same day, and the time lag of both KG interview time is 15mins only.

I only choose one.

How do u choose?

KV 較傳統教學。無NET teacher，K1已經開始有寫字訓練。K3 聽家長講已有默書。中，Maths 較好。

SC 較活動，訓練小朋友思考。有NET teacher, K2 才開始寫字。英較好。

My girl is a SC K3 student. She had 3 offers, SC, KV & York before. She loves her school life very very much. She's never taken any extra english class but her english is excellent. Recently, we are busy on P1 interviews and she got all 2nd interviews so far. Just want to remind you that parents need to attend Parent's Day twice a year with Chinese (Cantonese), English & Putonghua teachers using their languages. How about KV?

I would like to know if SC pupils also need to have Chi/ Eng dictation, and if yes, when they start?

other than the style of teaching, you may also want to consider the chance of getting into K1 between SC and KV.
I'm not sure how many places of K1 there will be for KV next year. But KV does not have their own PN, whilst SC does. SC will accept all their PN students to K1. So, you may want to compare the availability of K1 seats in both schools.

SC K1 5月開始要寫字
10月開始做線條練習
我囝N番學時話番學唔開心
到左SC後,現在問親佢都話番學開心
亦見到班主任著重品德教育

SC $38XX,MISC fee 幾百蚊1年(唔係所有書都必需要買)
家長可以參加家長日,義工,親子旅行
KV好似$2XXX,不過冇NET TEACHER
我冇報KV,其中一個原因係冇旅行

我個個都係囝囝
我覺得進度OK
1星期認1個中文字
數學K1暫時教緊COUNTING,現在教到5
小學衙接方面我唔太擔心
因為識唔少朋友子女讀SC,再上DBPS,ST MARY, DGS,去到地區名校...都有,都跟完全跟得上
亦識有人教名校小學
佢話小一至小三係KV世界,KV學生強於DRILLING & DISCPLINE,SC亦跟得上
不過一去到小四,因為開始較著重LANGUAGE, PROBLEM SOLVING 同PRESENTATION,SC從後超越

因為上面種種原因我其實冇報KV
如果我排,而學費又唔係一個CONCERN既原因,我會簡SC>KM>TT

想數學好，自己教會快d
小朋友响生活學習係好容易吸收架！

另外，要考慮埋你想小朋友第時讀邊類型嘅小學！如果都係多測驗默書抄寫嘅... KV會好過SC
不過... KM都唔錯 (仲多功課)

因為我係WORKING MUM,一至五都冇咩時間同佢學野,星期六更加唔想用全日學野,唯一我知道越早接觸越好既係語文,所以簡SC,咁唔洗再出去學英文,慳左時間同錢XDD

I'm not sure if any dictation in Lower class. But the class teacher noted us there should be dictations (don't know chi/eng or both) without any notice on the 1st day of Upper class. I was very happy when hearing that coz I feel that I would have no pressure on this matter and can save my time.

I advise you to try to attend both of the schools even will be late to show up. Of couse, to attend the best take first. I want to share my experience of P1 interview at DGJS/Good Hope a month ago with you.

These are my first two best schools. Unfortunately, the time and date of the 1st interview were crashed together. I was very very angry with the worse news. Finally, I tried to go to GH's interview after DGJS's and GH allowed my girl to join the interview.

KV's interview time is definitely 準時, effective and be able to finish within 15 mins

but for SC, according to my experience last year, we lined up and waited for a long time to reach the interview room

If ur interview time is KV first, just try and see if u can get to SC on time

According to qyeternity's experience, I will go to KV first as i remember only one parent was allowed to be interviewed with their kid. Meanwhile, another parent do show up at SC and register (you may make a call to SC and ask them if you need to register with the kid together).
