York今年開始舉辦Playgroup,在幼兒園(Pre-nursery)的簡介會有留名的家長，有冇收到通知信?

I attended the 簡介會, but they didn't ask the parents to jot down their names wor!

I had apply the playgroup already. From 13/11/2011-15/1/2012 (once per week, 1hrs) (8 lessions $2,400)
They had 2 days or 1days per week only. Must apply on or before 5/11/2011.

PG Letter apply together with the PN offer acceptance letter.

簡介會之後,York有打俾我(around 9月尾)話如果想報Playgroup,可以親自去約道校舍攞form,同10月8日之前寄回.

PN offer letter 都有playgroup的資料同報名表,但係個start date唔同我之前去攞個份

簡介會完晒,家長圍住校長同老師問有關細仔入學問題,之後校方提到有PG呢件事,我和其他家長追問詳情,她們就俾白紙我們留低聯絡方法,結果連埋PN offer一齊寄來,我選了星期六上午班,24-Nov 2011開始, 都係$2400-8堂。

相信無留名的家長,校長都通知了,都算公平做法。

今年係YORK第一年辦playgroup (據校長在簡介會說),而網上暫未有官方公布的資料,有興趣的家長最好都係直接打去學校問吓~

York PG is conducted in English, by NET, York local teacher and an assistant(sometimes)

rundown: free play, warm up exercise, singing and dancing, role play, break(no tea, but free play of slide inside the room), singing (with some tasks), storytelling, baby yoga, bubble time, good-bye song

every lesson has one theme, lots of vocabulary would be taught (by doing, singing, demonstrating) little finger doll would be received after each lesson (popcorn would be provided if they have interview on that day)

free play on outdoor playground after lesson, good environment

teachers are kind and passionate. caring about all babies (total 12 in a class). they would talk to parent individually for baby's performance before or after the lesson, and during the break.

the pity thing is that only one parent can enter classroom, no photo is allowed.

Feb class: $2400 for 8 lessons
Apr class: $3000 for 10 lessons

two time slot: 1) 10:00 - 11:00 2) 11:15 -12:15

My son and I are in the 10am class, and will continue to join.
Apart from the expensive course fee, I am very satisfied with the playgroup.

YORK 又幾有交帶喎!!!
我上XX CARE既PG, 上完堂我覺得好似唔係報名時所提及的老師,打電話去問佢先承認轉左人,之前之後都無主動同家長交代呀!!!

Yes, York 呢樣野又幾好喎, 打左至少兩次黎, 我都 miss 左個 call, 但最後都又再打黎.

11:15am 堂冇轉老師, 佢地打黎問我要唔要轉去 11:15am 的 session. 但對我黎講 10am 時間啱d, 所以都冇轉.

多多有普通話，1.5hrs，York就只得英文仲得1hr, 不過無breaks,no snack time，課程上兩間都ok.

我自己覺得Tutor Time好好多!!! 多多一班少啲人,老師可照顧到每一個小朋友多啲.
多多除咗分別有英文普通話唱歌跳舞同講故事外,還有sensory的訓練及簡單美勞,訓練小肌肉及有遊戲室訓練大肌肉.

Me too, will join the satursday session in July.
I applied in around February, and last week they mailed me the enrolment form and i just completed and sent them back. No receipt received yet.

i attended tutor time, felt ratio too high . tutor cannot care for my son ... so thinking to join york ... duno if better

PG cant help, many PG mami asked teacher everytime but failed. Keen competition in PN seats.

One advantage for PG before interview is that baby can get familiar with the place and may have chance to meet the teacher during interview

我JOIN左星期六的PG, 以$300一堂計我覺得並非物有所值. 一班太多人, 雖然課室大唔逼又有助教, 但每個小朋友得到老師的關注同有機會同老師互動(e.g.學生字, 認生果動物) 就相對不足了. 或許YORK係第一年辦PG, 有改善的空間.

My son got accepted into K1 but never attended their playgroups before. The school that we went for PN interview was at a different location than the one we attend the playgroup. So not sure if the PG would help for the interview.
