but some mummies said that they received letter fo 2nd interview this morning (26 oct ) bor.

Does it mean that letter recevied today can be either rejected letter or acceptance letter ??

I haven't received any letter yet...

But my Economics 101 tells me that when demand > supply and you are not invited to the 2nd int, even tho it says in progress, it actually means reject. Please correct me if anyone encountered otherwise.

Me, waiting as well...99.99% no hope !

有時諗 even有2nd in, 最後又係食白果 (99.9999%), 到時只會又再傷一次 ! 有時想, 寧願從來冇2nd in.

Logically, even there are some vacancies available at the end, the school will only call the candidates who had 2nd interview but could not get the place in the first place.

My letter also said " in progress" ,that means no hope and already rejected.I got two reject this morning,so sad

雖然由開始報已經知99.99%唔收,不過到真係唔收時,真係好傷心,始終成個過程都係比較,即係話左比我知阿囡技不如人!

As far as I remember, DGJS's interview was the most difficult one among all!!!

I agree.  Although I do not know the result of my girl's application yet, I am very proud of her.

I did not attempt to ask her what she did in the DGS interview, but at night, she told me that the teacher told them a story.  She repeated the whole story to me (as if she was telling me a bedtime story that she used to have). The story was not a very simple one, at least for a 5-yr old kid in my eyes.  What can we ask for more?

For adults, even when we have a job interview, it will only last for 30 minutes.  But for them, they have to attend one or two interviews in a day.  Each may last for one hour or more. It is really too demanding.

我絕對贊成!! 其實小朋友開心入去, 開心出黎, 而代表佢地成功左! 你地想一下, 面試只有1至2天, 老師要先咁多人, 所以一定有走漏眼, 我個女今年去x望, 點知個老師只係問佢在家裏有沒有同哥哥及姐姐打架的問題, 然後便完成面試了. 雖然我個女都於dgjs 失敗, 但請千萬不要怪罪佢地. 佢真係做得好好架喇! 怪只怪而家太多人面試, 跟本就唔夠分....你知多左邊d人啦.....

老實說入到2nd in都過半機會是reject 的, 早點知也沒什麼, 不過女兒給比下去的感覺真不太好。經過一輪面試, 明白多了學校的要求, 對手的特質和女兒的弱項, 反而可以公正點去評價她, 調節期望和想辦法改進弱項。
而且現在還是選校的前期, 到明年開學前還會大執位, 雖然不會是女拔, 但還是有許多好學校的。

Same here, no result yet. However, I am very proud of my daughter.

yeah its just a 感覺. I ask myself, is my daughter the TOP TOP student in HK? Does she look like she is going to stand in front of all the HK people and talk? I am not quite sure... though she has a lot of potential!! : )

I really puzzled why DGJS sent out such letter, as eventually they will send again the final letter to confirm the result in Dec. So this letter seems like a redundant one. I prefer not receiving this as I know if no 2nd IN letter received means no further progress.

you can imagine how many parents will call DGJS if not every single applicant receives a written reply from DGJS during this week.

I also thought like this way but I prefer the letter gives us firmer answer. Now we have to wait for two months for a 100% certified letter. Cruel!!!

入唔到DGJS 2nd interview 既小朋友唔好氣餒呀，你地一定會搵到一間適合你地既好學校架，繼續努力！

其實我唔係幾明點解DGJS要出一封 "無2nd interview但又話12月先出final results" 既信俾無得2nd in既申請人，我估無得2nd in就連waiting 既機會都無架啦，咁不如直接出一封 reject letter 咪仲乾脆利落。其他學校都係咁做，真係有Ｄ奇怪！

今年分組只是安排小朋友入那課室坐, 然後自己做paper去計分, 多人高分咪多人入選, 好似公平過上年10人一組但得7人比選中讀書喎.

you have a very positive thinking.
I always think my girl has done quite well in her kindergarten and may be the kind of girl DGJS wants...until I received the 'reject' letter on 25/10. Not many hard feelings except that I would prefer a straight reject letter.

I won't think my girl is inferior than the others just because she can't go to the 2nd round. She is shy and is not the kind of person that stands out among a group. Even she can proceed to the 2nd round, there is also a high chance of receiving a final reject letter.

Anyway, best wishes to your girl.

大家沒有second interview的家長不要覺得自己個女唔smart。考小學 - 運氣，小朋友狀態都好重要。

特別是這些group interview，小朋友可能被人睇漏眼。

我女去年都沒有second interview，但最後又竟然入到更難入的SPCC（我們都是無關係人）。希望大家都入到適合的學校！加油！

Received rejected letter. My daughter is a super small girl, born on Decemeber. Started from the interview of kindergarten, I felt the disadvantage of being a small girl, although her performance is quite good as well. Anyway, I'm proud of my daughter.

My girl also received reject letter and she is also born in December. i don't know how many applicants this year and most of us will receive reject letter, so don't be so upset about the result. i am sure god will arrange a suitable school for them. i totally agreed that we should be proud of our girl performance in going through all the interviews in these few months for a little 5 years old girl.

Amazing. I called the school this afternoon and my gal has the 2nd interview. The letter was sent lost.

Thanks GOD, luckily I called today as she will attend the interview tomorrow 11/1 afternoon.

I always felt she was turned down. But it is coming back again.
